More about sheer dumb luck than strategy. It's "Virus Game Light", and just like in beer, "Light" = poor. Needs to be deeper and more realistic to do the virus-game premise justice. May Madagascar burn in hell.

Just make your disease have no positive symptoms initially and let it slowly spread. Then once it is in all continents go nuts with the fatal symptoms.

Last night I was playing this offline and killed everyone on the globe INCLUDING Madagascar. It is possible folks. I recommend the parasite and don't make your virus visible.. concentrate on getting its infectivity up first then lethal.

islands are so hard to hit in general
almost always madagascar shuts down and when it doesn't one of the other islands does so you never win @_@

ok, now that's BS.
I make an entirely unnoticeable parasite (i even unlocked all symptoms so that I could take them off) and when it gets down to the last part, the only country uninfected was Madagascar, after like 3 days of it bein spread to Argentina they sent no boats.

For those who dont know..when it says a region has flooding..if that region is not infected yet...click waterborne..when it says drought..sell waterbourne..

Overall, I really like it. Main problems are that it starts out kinda slow (which makes sense) and then after a while the planet goes INSANE, shutting down completely and making winning impossible. One thing that's kinda funny: I made a disease that was really infectious but not in the least bit fatal. People were burning bodies BUT NO ONE HAD DIED.

1) no symptoms no visiality discovered..yes ppl can see the invisible?
2) resistant to everything..considered unstopable but its stopped?
3) waiting doesnt work like in pandemic one because everything gets closed?

for all of u saying "how'd my non-lethal non-visible virus be discovered" well, people have a thing called a water filter , and they find an unknown virus. the visible-ity is how symptoms are noticed among others

While witnessing destruction on a worldwide scale is inherently amusing, that is about all this game has going for it. You spend most of your time just watching the screen, clicking a button once every few minutes or so. All you can do is hope that your disease isn't discovered before is spreads, but that seems to be mostly up to chance. Even a disease without any symptoms or deaths can cause countries to shut down their borders and close you out.

My biggest issue with this game, aside from Madagascar shutting down way too quick no matter what gets done, is that a disease with no outward symptoms is capable of causing widespread panic and shutting down all the airports, etc. around the world without any fatalities, etc. Having that happen is far less likely than a bad outbreak of the flu in some backwater town in middle America causing a global breakdown of transportation. 3/5 for now.. but good game otherwise.

The total inability to infect a country that doesn't let people in in any way (borders, air, sea) doesn't make any sense when your disease transmits through all known means.

Good fun, but same annoyance about Madagascar. Would also be nice to be able to look around once the game is over and see the country stats and stuff
