Kind of impossible how when you have AirBorne, that the Borders still manage to block the air. You'd also think that water wouldn't stop air from going place to place too.

some things that could change
1) selling of course gives back points
2) if a region isnt close and/or is not affected by the virus it should be able to reopen stuff
3) GIVE MADAGASCAR A FRIGGIN' AIRPORT!!!!!!
4) you should allow your disease to evolve (e.g. you start from a virus to parasite to bacteria etc.)
5) for every class (virus, parasite, bacteria etc) should have different abilities (e.g. parasites can devour red blood cells or something)
Just a suggestion:
We should be able to control stuff like if Canada has a flood and our disease is waterborne then we should be able to control our disease to move to the flooded area, and if its spread through bugs and mice then we should be able to control the bugs and mice so that we can choose when and where to attack

You guys must be having some terrible luck. I started a VIRUS in Australia, it spread like Brit Spears spreads her legs on crack, withing 30 minutes the world was effed.

so 3 thing this game need to change, selling should give back points... things should be able to re-open, and a region w/o a hopsital or with a close hospitol shouldn't be able to hand out a vaccine

yes, i agree with some of the other comments: even though borders, airports and ports are closed doesn't mean (infected) people won't find ways to enter those countries/regions. heck, if mexico can do it, i'm pretty sure indonesians can sneak onto australia (no offense to the mexican ppl, lol)

I don't know how much this works but it did for me. Make no symptoms at first. Get moisture level two and waterborne. Set the time for fast and you have a good chance at getting madagascar. also you get a ton of points. (parasite)

Im not really seeing how you guys wait along so much. I took off everything i had and after about an hour of waiting i came back to see how many points i had and about half the countries closed everything up. I was not spreading my disease and everything was gone (e.g vomiting symptoms) and i had 0% visibility. Can someone tell me how you guys wait a whole day without being detected???

Yes, it's fun to have an invisible parasite being spotted so fast. And also a 15-20% deadly virus without a single casualty after 80 days.
And yes, the Magascar problem makes it a matter of luck and that sucks.

Here's my idea for fixing the "no symptoms but they still closed down" issue.
Simply make it so your disease ALWAYS has at least ONE symptom. This would make it more realistic, as at the very least your disease would be slightly visible, and it would make sense when billions of people are coming down with an unknown disease for all the borders to shut down.
This would probably save the game balance without actually changing much of the gameplay.

Well, this game kinda sucks. I can't see why it's rated so highly.Very slow and boring.
I kinda like the concept, but the strategy involved in wiping out the whole planet revolves around being lucky enough to infect Madagascar before it's inaccesible.
Basically you have to create a disease with no symptoms that spreads fairly slowly.
Boring. 2/5.

The perfect border control is crap. Like i can disinfect every bug that crosses. also if the disease doesn't have any symptoms no one will know about it so how can everyone start freaking if you didn't know if yo had it? That should be a definite update along with the madagascar situation.

gandhiG - People are and were scared of anthrax because it has symptoms and results that are already known! This disease should not even be seen as a disease until it has symptoms! Why would they be testing people for anything that ISN'T effecting anyone?

Out reach brings up the best point. How can borders be that secure? As we see in the US if someone wants to sneak in, they can - in a pandemic you know that would be happening, plus the brids and insects could not be controls en masse! 3/5

I managed to contamine madagascar by picking the "virus", letting all the "stats" (infect, visibility, etc..) at 0 and having all the transmitions on.

Let me be clear about this: Mutations should speed up as you infect new people. Borders aren't impervious to penetration. This game as well executed and a great idea, but the gameplay of it SUCKS because of these corners you get boxed into. SUCKS!

A painfull game. The origional was so much better. So many bugs like madagacar beings semi imposible to infect, border controls being perfect to man and animal, not to mention the terrible variation in evolution point speed going from very fast to very slow. I've never managed to complete the game even with a loss, It just takes to long for anything to happen even on the fastest speed once you run out of evolution points.

XD ok, I've played this too much. Either they need to update it to 2.1 or make a 3rd that's even more realistic.
