Following Nauto98001's guide for the win. (Fortunately I started in New Zealand my first try so I didn't have to restart.) NZ didn't close any of its ports until half its population was infected, & the disease had already spread to the entire world. And Greenland didn't close ANYTHING even after every other port in the world was shut down. Their airports, shipyards, hospitals, schools, borders, & transit were all kept open until the instant that the very last Greenlander died; and even then only the hospitals, transit, & schools were closed. Silly Greenland.

Is it just when I play or does anyone else find that Canada is sort of the opposite of Madagascar? When pretty much the rest of the world has gone on lockdown... Canada remains running... Even where there are only 10 healthy people alive and everyone else is dead everything remains open. In madagascar someone coughs and the country goes on lockdown... in Canada over half the population is dead, the other half is infected, and life goes on as though nothings happening... I believe that is what we call 'Denial'.

Good idea, bad game. Madagaskar got one entrance, and that is by sea. I watched their port for 48 days before they shut the port. No ships ever went there, which dictates that strategy means nothing, but chance.
