got the impossible badge.. :D i used this guide, hope it works for you too. i started in new zealand after a few restarts, and boom! my disease spread everywhere.
1) Pick Virus.
2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, West Europe, or Madagascar. If you do not get there restart.
3) Sell the starting symptoms, and buy sneezing (unless it is what you started with, just keep it).
4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures).
5) Once four countries are infected, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility.
6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes its shipyards/borders or is not infected in 30 days, restart.
7) Buy all four drug resistances AND sneezing, coughing, and vomiting.
8) After a few days, unlock tiers 2-3, (do not buy tier 4 ever!) keeping whatever symptoms it gives you.
9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity. Then save for kidney failure and ataxia.

I've got an Idea for improvements. Can you stramline the amount of time between each restart? Combine the menus? Anything really.

ItIsDone, there is a speed up option. It's those 3 circles next to the pause button. The first one is normal time, the 2nd makes time go quicker and the 3rd..well..even quicker than the 2nd.

Anyone else wish there was a time leap bar or something where you enter a date, they just skip to it? Something that would make it go faster.

This game isn't strategy at all, cause it's based upon a simple luck (read: random), with out it, it's just hours of stupid randomizing. I always use the maximum speed, because you can't do anything about the closing migration thing. So, it means that you are taking only a little part of the whole process, the remaining part is just an automatic playing. Also, the Realistic mode is even easier then the Relaxed one, cause governments are acting much earlier (because of the higher infection rate), but in total they are the same, so it's kind of useless to make them both... But despite of those minuses, this game is still a fun to play at and it has some potential and interesting ideas (except some variances between the real world and this virtual world, like the closing of the "invisible" airport in Madagascar and in other counties that doesn't have it too, the same goes for the shipyards)...

Total time was 279 days, so 237 days to go from infecting every region to killing everyone, using a strategy that should've had this finish in under 90 days total. Definitely something wrong here with the coding

Also doesn't help when it takes a few days for people to die when progress randomly freezes even while actively in the game, in spite of Lethality being high. A few days pass by with no activity at all, then suddenly, as if lag lets up, deaths start happening rapidly, only to stop again for days. It shouldn't take 120+ days to kill everyone with every single lethal trait active except for Tier 4...
Especially when considering I was finally able to successfully use Nauto98001's strategy and infect every region by day 42, only to watch progress slow down horribly, no deaths for days, and I fail the Impossible Badge yet again thanks to a freeze bug in the game.

The irony fate has placed on me. I started playing this game three years ago. I struggled for weeks but couldn’t infect Madagascar. Today I come back for the first time, and had the luck of getting Madagascar as my starting point. Overjoyed and reasonably skeptical, I came to a realization why it is insanely and stupidly impossibly for anyone to infect Madagascar. I sat there staring at my monitor as Madagascar slowly and slowly became 95% infected BEFORE ANY GOD FORSAKEN SHIP EVEN CAME TO HARBOR. After 60 days, a ship hit harbor and then went on its merry way infecting the rest of the world and it was no more than 10 days, every country in the world was infected. I smiled, threw points into everything leading to death. I waited. I chuckled. I waited, several days passed; I erupted into an uncontrollable mad laughter as the countries became forsaken. The third badge was rewarded for my work. My first attempt at this game after three years prevailed. I thank you, people responsible.
