Here's how I beat it (I started in Peru):
*Sell any symptoms you have immediately
*Buy all the transmissions as soon as possible
*Buy the first tier (and only the first tier) of Cold, Heat and Moisture
*Buy ALL the Drug resistances
*Collect evolution points while the world becomes infected
*Advance to tier IV on the symptom tree and sell any bonus symptoms along the way
*Buy the nastiest tier IV symptoms once you have enough evolution points
* Have A LOT of patience.

Good game overall. I don't like the impossible badge though. It's really a "just keep trying until you get lucky" badge, which is annoying. I even started on Madagascar, which as we all know is the hardest to infect. Well, I got the island down to only 6000 healthy and a boat never left the island to spread the disease until day 72!! So, impossible badge isn't about skill, it's about stupid luck. But, like the game overall as I said. Just the badge is annoying. 4/5

Played this game 3 times now on relaxed mode and have failed every time which is ****ing me off just the teensiest bit. I've been methodical and intelligent about my approach but it always falls down to Madagascar or somewhere else being sectioned off and it seems that sometimes it doesn't matter how intelligent your approach is as it will fall down to luck. Also Madagascar is impossible to play, both beginning and towards the end because it can only be infected by ship which I feel makes it a little bit too difficult. Despite my ranting this game is awesome and some day in the near future I hope to finally bring about the extinction of mankind 4/5 *Just for gods sake make Madagascar have an airport in Pandemic III
