for those wondering why everyone shuts down there docks airports and stuff is quite simple all of these diseases can evolve at any time any place anywhere so if everyone in canada is infected with a unknown diseases people(or smart ones anyhow) are going to worry that it will evolve just like real life into ANYTHING thought you should all know

@killer: Right now, there is widespread flooding in the US, and widespread drought as well. Look at Arkansas and Texas

1.) Pick Virus. 2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, West Europe, or Madagascar. If you do not get there restart. 3) Sell the starting symptoms, and buy sneezing (unless it is what you started with, just keep it). 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures). 5) Once four countries are infected, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility. 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes its shipyards/borders or is not infected in 30 days, restart. 7) Buy all four drug resistances AND sneezing, coughing, and vomiting. 8) After a few days, unlock tiers 2-3, (do not buy tier 4 ever!) keeping whatever symptoms it gives you. 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity. Then save for kidney failure and ataxia. 10) get all the transmissions. 11)keep this comment alive!! :)

something i would like to see in a sequel(if there's gonna be one) is island nations being able to be infected through insects, etc. and countries being forced to reopen their borders after a while.

You could follow loads of different guides of how to win but it all comes down to one thing: luck. I left my computer for a while and i infected madagacar and most other places without really doing much.

follow that as closely as possible. Of course it still involves lots of luck, but I just got the t even want to know how many times it took though.

anyone notice that this isn't how the globe really looks? looks like the earth is on a school geography map. This is because Siberia in Russia should be real close to Alaska in Canada. and the east and west continents should be be further away from each other. but still great game. 10/10

I stopped trying to finish this game a year ago, I tried again today and I started with Madagascar and sneezing and got the impossible badge at the first try! O-O Weird thing...

every country but madagascar is infected, madagascar closes its shipyards, and a boat still gets in and infects the whole country anyways. Evidence of virtual black markets.
