A quick note, this really works. I started in Canada, and following this, I had every country infected and every symptom I needed for the rest of the game by day 18.
1, Pick Virus 2, Start in Canada, Greenland, New Zealand, Cuba (if not, restart) 3, Sell starting symptoms (if any), other than sneezing. If you don’t have sneezing, buy it 4, Buy 1-1-1-0 Resistances 5, Once your disease spreads to a few countries, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility 6, Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes or this is after day 30, restart 7, Pump 4 Drug Resistance and buy sneezing, coughing, vomiting 8 After a few days, unlock tier 2-3 keeping whatever symptoms it gives you 9 Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, hypersensitivity, hemorrhaging 10 Wait until everyone dies IT WORKS!!!!!! Just to add, I got the President Madagascar Assassin Badge by following the instructions that everyone's cutting and pasting, but having started in Madagascar. I think there is still a lot of luck involved whether Madagascar spreads infection to everywhere else quick enough, but in at least my case, it did.

Using commas would make the numbers a lot easier to read. Infections and deaths per day seems to have no basis on what is actually happening in the game.

Oh and one more thing. IF some of you folks think that selling off your traits at the start in realstic mode helps, it doesn't. even though it says your visibility is 0%, The A.I. seems to still keep it at a high enough level so that you will ALWAYS get caught.

Nine times out of ten, you won't get impossible by following virus. It seems that by the time the world gets close to being fully infected, your starter country is in the red and the whole world just shuts down everything. Also, most countries shut things down by day 28 [for virus] and day 24 [ for bacteria]. Seriously, relaxed is more realistic and realstic is pure bs.

If you have extra points, unlock tier 4. (unlikely) This works, it won me everything. I dont kno if this works well but im trying to get the impossible badge by following this "guide"

Beat the game, ahve a high score submited, for total wipe out in 75 days in real mode. have screen shots ovf everything, gave the submit score a punch , no badge, I may cry.. and gouge out my eyes..
