1.) Pick Virus. 2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, West Europe, or Madagascar. If you do not get there restart. 3) Sell the starting symptoms, and buy sneezing (unless it is what you started with, just keep it). 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures). 5) Once four countries are infected, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility. 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes its shipyards/borders or is not infected in 30 days, restart. 7) Buy all four drug resistances AND sneezing, coughing, and vomiting. 8) After a few days, unlock tiers 2-3, (do not buy tier 4 ever!) keeping whatever symptoms it gives you. 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity. Then save for kidney failure and ataxia. 10) keep this comment alive Thanks for the comment! I got 13th of all time by using this method

When I hear about zombies breaking out, I will swim to Madagascar. They'll probably have everything shut down before scientists get the first syllable of zombie out. I literally just infected the US with a BARELY VISIBLE parasite that only causes a fever and hasn't killed anyone yet and they were like, "What? No. Game Over. Shut the ports. Look at that, a fever? In America, which is like, I don't even know how far away from us? We'll be next. And fevers, you know, they're a national crisis. THIS COULD BE THE END OF HUMANITY AS WE KNOW IT. I think there should be a multiplayer version where you and several other people compete to make your disease the most prevalent and once everyone dies, the person with the most people killed wins.

Wow, a ship that came from a completely infected country was just about to dock in Madagascar, disease free, then they close the shipyards.

So after trying SARs, the bubonic plague, and the common cold, I, in absolute desperation, put in a joke name without much hope.
Three months later, not a living soul was left on the planet. Oops. Started in Japan, then hit in rapid fire Indonesia, Peru, Cuba, and Madagascar before the week was out.
