Were you playing on relaxed or realistic? I see no real "Flaws" in the game.

I don't know why everyone killing off everyone in relaxed mode is a "Hard" badge. My 10-year-old sister did it first try!

Got it, finally! By starting in Australia, no less.
But it's a very badly designed game if tactics that the game explicitly encourages, such as buying transmission methods or infecting the water supply, makes it harder for you to succeed. The more I played it to get the badge, the more annoyed I became with the game's serious flaws.

Can't one person sneak across a closed border? I suppose they can't when they are puking, pooping, sneezing, coughing, etc...

The porblem isn't that madagascar shuts down, it is that it only has a port, and no boats want to go there.
Seriously, make your disease as harmless as possible (no resistances and no symptoms) and just watch madagascar .. in a month it might get one visit. Ridiculous.
