Frustrating...best i've been able to get is 12k still alive at 100 day mark. Im about to give up on this last achievement...it's insane!

easiest way to win is to get rid of every symptom u can. that way no one can notice they sick. after that get every resistance u can buy to make ur disease basically incurable. then when everyones infected, buy everything u can to kill them

For the hard badge:
The following is a fairly consistent way to win Pandemic 2 in Realistic mode...
1. Choose Parasite (hardest to detect)
2. Sell any Symptoms you have.
3. Upgrade the Heat, Cold, and Moisture Resistances to Level 2 beginning with the Resistance most applicable to your starting region (ex. Russia Cold, Argentina Heat, etc)
4. Set game to fastest speed (circle furthest right)
5. Upgrade Drug Resistance all the way to Level 4
6. Start upgrading the rest of the Resistances all the way to Level 4 focusing on the Resistances that are most applicable to the regions not yet infected.
7. If at anytime you notice that a completely uninfected region has closed it's borders, airports, AND seaports, it can no longer be infected and you cannot destroy all humans. If your goal is to do so, you must start over.
8. Buy all Transmissions.
9. Once you find that ALL of the regions have been infected on the World Information page you can start to buy Symptoms

1.) Pick Virus. 2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, West Europe, or Madagascar. If you do not get there restart. 3) Sell the starting symptoms, and buy sneezing (unless it is what you started with, just keep it). 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures). 5) Once four countries are infected, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility. 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes its shipyards/borders or is not infected in 30 days, restart. 7) Buy all four drug resistances AND sneezing, coughing, and vomiting. 8) After a few days, unlock tiers 2-3, (do not buy tier 4 ever!) keeping whatever symptoms it gives you. 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity. Then save for kidney failure and ataxia. 10) keep this comment alive Thanks for the comment! I got 13th of all time by using this method.

Everyone seems to have trouble with Madagascar. Well its not as bad as the CGI pixar crap or whatever it is that out there.

I Have achieved the SO ANGRY achievement by getting an invinccible virus playing for 1 day straight andinfecting all countries except madagascar. then i got a blue screen.

After almost two hours of trying to beat this game, I got tired of the simple fact that to me, Madagascar is almost always the very first country to close down its shipyards, airports, and borders, even before the virus, bacteria, or parasite has spread to other places. I appreciate the first two badges that I was able to acquire, but I doubt I'd be playing this game any more now.

Amazing game but putting the impossible badge there is retarded as it is impossible. There's no way to do it. I will never believe it's possible unless I were to actually be there to watch someone do it.
