Here's my theory. Healthy people have to get rid of the virus/ parasite/ bactirium or die. Their immuine system acts on overdrive leaving the person more hungry and tired (if partially) or get a blood test or a checkup etc. Enough people go to the doctors around the world. Finally one doctor figures out the link with the new bactirium and all the people with active antigen. He holds a conference. Doctors agree its a potential threat. Ergo, they must destroy the threat at all costs. Not exactly realistic, but no too hard to imagine either...

Why the HELL do they shut countrys down when there's a disease with 0 visibility and 0 lethality? First: They CANNOT KNOW that it exists. Second: It isn't any danger, in reality we wouldn't close country borders and airports for that, humanity is too greedy to risk their economy for a not dangerous virus.
I think that the developer of this should overthink the "shutting down countrys even though visibility is 0" stuff... it makes everything about the game too random, because there's always that one country that shuts down (most of the time madagascar).

1) Pick Virus. 2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, or Madagascar.
