i sold my starting symptom immediately, infected pretty much everyone on the planet, but nothing happened. Much later (time to vaccine completion: 76 days) i bought all transmisions, and sneezing and every country closed everything. Time left for vaccine went from 76 days to "iInfinity".

i love it when there's only 1 plane or boat left after they close all airports, and shipyards: they just move around in little circles for the rest of the game =)

I bet the people of madagascar drench every single person and thing they own in Purell. If you want to immigrate to madagascar, you have to take a Purell bath.

to take Madagascar u either need to own it or get a country that sends ship to the 1 dock and have high moisture protection

1.) Pick Virus. 2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, West Europe, or Madagascar. If you do not get there restart. 3) Sell the starting symptoms, and buy sneezing (unless it is what you started with, just keep it). 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures). 5) Once four countries are infected, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility. 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes its shipyards/borders or is not infected in 30 days, restart. 7) Buy all four drug resistances AND sneezing, coughing, and vomiting. 8) After a few days, unlock tiers 2-3, (do not buy tier 4 ever!) keeping whatever symptoms it gives you. 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity. Then save for kidney failure and ataxia. 10) keep this comment alive Thanks for the comment! I got 13th of all time by using this method.

idea for next pandemic: let the disease be spread by birds and consider ilegal imigration so closing everything will not get a single region impenetrable.
Remember bird migration really spreads a lot of unwanted stuff.
And ilegal imigration can really be nasty.
