The end goal is the extermination of humanity...which is impossible when a totally clean region totally shuts itself off from the outside world. There should be a message saying something like "Madagascar has decided to shut down their single shipyard, which apparently is the only way on or off the island, so you can't kill anybody there. Do you want to screw around in this world anyway, or start a new game?"

Wow, I wasn't even expecting to get this again. I was just going for the Apocalyptic Optimist badge.
But, using Nauto's guide, I got both badges on my second try on Realistic. :D

Does anyone else find it unlikely that just because the borders were closed, even though Peru was not exterminating insects or rats (I had gotten both upgrades), the border alone would stop both insects and rats.?

im new to this buuuut............i think you should infect the nearest one to madagascar by using airborne and then add waterborne oh yeah im new so i dont know this games physics

MY disease completely wiped out every single county, except for Madagascar. I didn't get a single person in Madagascar
