I came back to try again, a month after getting the impossible badge. I got lucky again and got Madagascar infected first try!
Cuba (twice) and Canada (two seaports!) were the countries I've managed to beat the impossible challenge with. Definitely read the guide in the forums if you're going for that impossible badge.

two changes I'd like to suggest.
2) Start in Madagascar. If you do not get there restart.
4) Buy 1-1-1-4 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures).

and dont start in a little iland like magascar or you haft to buy the transs mission airborn or waterborn and they close bouts and arplane

if you want to kill then buy all the stuff in tire 1 and get a upgrade to tire 2 then get all the stuff in tire 2 for super killing buy tire3 then get all that stuff

every times madagascar is never destroyed. and even when my disease had no symptoms and no visiblity it got the famous trait. (got attention of news agencies)

okay seriously, no government has acted against my virus, I got all but madagascar... I started in Brazil... It's just like the famous picture... CLOSE DOWN EVERYTHING madagascar says lol

Wow just got the impossible badge.
I started in Cuba with fever and airborne. what i did different from the guide was to buy all 4 drug resistances right after i bought the weather resistances.

1) Pick Virus. 2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, or Madagascar. If you do not get there restart. 3) Sell the starting symptoms, if any, and buy sneezing (unless it is what you started with, just keep it). 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures). 5) Once four countries are infected, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility. 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes its shipyards or is not infected in 30 days, restart. 7) Buy all four drug resistances AND sneezing, coughing, and vomiting. 8) After a few days, unlock tiers 2-3, (do not buy tier 4 ever!) keeping whatever symptoms it gives you. 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity.
