I love when you close all borders,shipyards, and airports, there is that one ship or plane flying/sailing around because it can't dock/land.

gr8 game just cant get madagascar >.< i tried like 8 times by refreshing but i can neva get it so hueva sed just keep refredhing ur advice doesnt work!!!!

i remember the first time ive played pandemic 1 i selected parasite and won the first time ive ever played the game XD

1.) Pick Virus. 2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, West Europe, or Madagascar. If you do not get there restart. 3) Sell the starting symptoms, and buy sneezing (unless it is what you started with, just keep it). 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures). 5) Once four countries are infected, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility. 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes its shipyards/borders or is not infected in 30 days, restart. 7) Buy all four drug resistances AND sneezing, coughing, and vomiting. 8) After a few days, unlock tiers 2-3, (do not buy tier 4 ever!) keeping whatever symptoms it gives you. 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity. Then save for kidney failure and ataxia. 10) keep this comment alive Thanks for the comment! I got 13th of all time by using this method.

That's it, I quit on the last achievement, to much luck involved. Either I don't start in Madagascar and it closes down everything before the disease gets there or I start there and the damn disease takes 20+ days to spread to one other country... Way to much luck needed

Actual realistic mode: Your disease has no indication of existing, no one does anything. Then when everyone on the planet has it, it takes years (virus), decades (bacteria) or several millennium, centuries at best (parasite), for your disease to acquire detrimental effects.
Depending on the complexity of your disease, a cure would take significantly longer. If it's a virus, very few cures actually exist for viruses, since they live inside of the host cells. Bacteria have plasmids that can mutate at much higher rates and cause resistance to antibacterial drugs. If the entire world is infected, pretty much gg world. Parasite... gg. A cure for a parasite wouldn't take nearly as long as the detrimental effects would take to evolve.
My problems with Realistic mode being called realistic in a nutshell. It should be called: Everyone in the world is a high functioning paranoid schizophrenic... mode. Who else would close borders for a "disease" that has no harmful effects or symptoms at all?

Ok, here is my feedback: The borders are more secure than realistic. Simply put, someone will flee with the disease across borders that are closed under pandemic situations. Panic, human nature, whatever you call it.
Second, the game is fun outside of it really being about a few selections. However, Madagascar could use an airport that actually gets planes. There is an airport there, and it would make it a little bit less of an issue.
