To lazy to sift through all the comments, but has anyone thought about complaining that there is no "save" feature to the game. It has a "new game" option implying there should be one. but there isn't.

. The best way to get Madagascar is to start off with a parasite. Then what you want to do is make your only symptom fever. After this make the only transmission you have rodents. This is because they are the hardest to notice when you first only start with them. Also when you use rodents, it will take a long time to get countries at first, but they travel on the ships. This means that they will get to Madagascar. Madagascar only does one trade which is the ships and they really only do it with New Zealand. If you don't infect New Zealand, then it will be much harder to infect Madagascar. After you have waited and spent much time with the rodents, other countries with get infected quickly. Also the only things you should buy to begin with are all of the drug immunities and level one of hot cold and moisture. After you have a lot of countries infected, including Madagascar, buy insect transmission. This will allow you to get into every country unseen basically.

I finally start in Madagascar and am super excited to finally have a chance at actually winning (I didn't, but that's not the point). Disease starts spreading everywhere, governments start shutting stuff down, etc.. Except... Madagascar... The only thing they shut down was public transit... I infected, literally, everyone there and they didn't close shipyards. I swear Madagascar is like that one friend who doesn't want to help you with anything, but expects you to come over and help them or they'll do something to spite you (like leaving their shipyard open).

Day 1: disease arrived in Madagascar (hell yes that place is so hard to infect)
Day 30: whole of Madagascar infected while they are dealing with flood (woo hoo~ time to conquer the world!)
Day 65: Madagascar closes shipyard to prevent spread of disease. (wait let me see what are the countries i infected already. oh...Magagascar ONLY. WTF?!) I swear that government is managed by the Red Queen from resident evil
