interestingly enough, a virus with a high lethality rate is considered a failure, as once all the hosts are dead, it has nobody to infect, and because a virus requires a host cell, if all hosts are dead, then the disease is dead. yet the goal of the game is to kill all your hosts. funny no?

Predictably, everyone on the entire planet except those in Madagascar died. also, how can they even tell if it's in their country if there are no symptons? do they routinely take blood tests on everyone in the planet?

Best feeling you can have in this game? Watching as Madagascar closes it's shipyards and then one lone ship enters the port a moment later, bringing with it the infection.

The President of Madagascar must be psychic, he can see into the future and predict a 100% harmless virus is going to kill everyone in the world.

Madascar closed its region borders! That will stop those amphibious cars from getting in with infected people!
Now for the airports: no more imaginary planes coming in!
Next, let's introduce martial law, even though no one is infected... and we might as well close our hospitals...
And, last but not least, let's close our shipyard(s), just before that boat comes in, there's no knowing if there are any infected people on it... I don't care that it left 60 days ago when there were no infected people near its origin!
Now! Let's wait for all the world to die...

for those wondering why everyone shuts down there docks airports and stuff is quite simple all of these diseases can evolve at any time any place anywhere so if everyone in canada is infected with a unknown diseases people(or smart ones anyhow) are going to worry that it will evolve just like real life into ANYTHING thought you should all know

@killer: Right now, there is widespread flooding in the US, and widespread drought as well. Look at Arkansas and Texas

1.) Pick Virus. 2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, West Europe, or Madagascar. If you do not get there restart. 3) Sell the starting symptoms, and buy sneezing (unless it is what you started with, just keep it). 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures). 5) Once four countries are infected, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility. 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes its shipyards/borders or is not infected in 30 days, restart. 7) Buy all four drug resistances AND sneezing, coughing, and vomiting. 8) After a few days, unlock tiers 2-3, (do not buy tier 4 ever!) keeping whatever symptoms it gives you. 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity. Then save for kidney failure and ataxia. 10) get all the transmissions. 11)keep this comment alive!! :)

something i would like to see in a sequel(if there's gonna be one) is island nations being able to be infected through insects, etc. and countries being forced to reopen their borders after a while.
