I found China worse than Madagascar, I had every country infected except Madagascar and Argentina, and China goes and closes everything, the first to too.

After about 15 more attempts and starting in Cuba I can finally say that the world is devoid of life, finally got the impossible badge!!

One of these days I will get that impossible badge. I had all countries finally infected, I was so close, then Greenland went clean on me with 200 some odd people still living, WTF!!

GRRR.. got madagasgar infected on day 8 when I started in greenland!!! and stupid argentina closes its ports n borders! someone explain how you can close borders to rats, insects, water and air!

i completed the game in 96 days on realistic earning me the badge and started on madagascar following all of Nauto98001's walkthrought:). i put my name as nothing at all (no writing ;p). You get evolution points dead quick, like 4 points every 5 seconds. so you can complete this game startig on madagascar. the rest of the world started getting infected after 30 days, the whole world was infected on about 65 days and people started dying on 70 days. :D Good luck people.

Well maybe greenland doesn't care about his country like said by brayofden,but at least it was the only country that survived to my virus.(276 people alive left,I doubt they'll repopulate the world with that...)

I had everywhere infected in less than 35 days. Around 55 everyone was infected. At 100 I had around 20mil still alive. Followed Nauto's intructions to a T. I just wish that this game had a little less luck to it, but it's addictive as hell. Still love it, but very upset that, after my excitement of claiming Madagascar and everywhere else relatively early, it still did very little to win the hard badge for me.

Believe it or not, I tend to think that Madagascar isn't necessarily the best place to start. Yes, it is just about THE MOST difficult place to infect, but if you START there it can take 30-50 days for it to even reach a 2nd country due to few-and-far-between-shipments. If you do start there, then be sure to play your cards carefully after it finally spreads, so you recover lost time as quickly as possible. That's a thin line to walk: spreading fast enough to do more than make a dent, without raising alarm, and infecting and killing everyone in half the time it would take if you started with another country. I'd almost rather play the odds and keep starting over than to sit and wait to see how long Madagascar takes to spread.

How to win: Pick virus,start in madagascar so they cant escape, get fever,upgrade to pulomonary edema (its hard to see and kills quickly) Get hypersensitivity and heart failure. voila! you have made what everyone thought swine fflu would be

Under rating threshold (hideshow) 1.) Pick Virus. 2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, West Europe, or Madagascar. If you do not get there restart. 3) Sell the starting symptoms, and buy sneezing (unless it is what you started with, just keep it). 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures). 5) Once four countries are infected, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility. 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes its shipyards/borders or is not infected in 30 days, restart. 7) Buy all four drug resistances AND sneezing, coughing, and vomiting. 8) After a few days, unlock tiers 2-3, (do not buy tier 4 ever!) keeping whatever symptoms it gives you. 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity. Then save for kidney failure and ataxia. 10) keep this comment alive Thanks for the comment! P.S:THIS IS A RECOMMENDED METHOD (if u think its trustworthy)

As long as it is only Australia, New Zealand, Greenland, Cuba, North Africa, Madagascar, etc. that are infected it does not matter. Thes countries only start reacting to their own infections at a much higher threshhold. An early infection of New Zealand often leads to Madagascar getting infected. As soon as the islands are all infected you can turn up the visibility (even if for instance Peru and Argentina are not yet infected). Make sure to turn drug resistance up to four as soon as the whole world is infected, otherwise you won't kill the people fast enough. As soon as the whole world is infected I would recommend concentrating on the fatality (I don't like lethality as a word) rather than the infectiousness (which I prefer to infectivity): Haemorraging, diarrhoea, fever, etc.

Great game. At last managed it in 88 days. My personal starting favourites are Australia, New Zealand, Greenland or Cuba. Starting in Madagascar is too slow. Starting in West Europe you get transparent too soon. Canada works sometimes but not reliably. There is luck involved, but there are some tips that may be useful in addition to Nauto98001. Turn down visibility not after four infections, but as soon as one of the countries that report their own problems get infected (US, Japan, West Europe, etc.).

Managed to kill the world using only tier 1 symptoms xD (parasite, no symptoms, max resistances (drugs first), when entire world gets infected buy symptoms and transmissions)
