I started once in madagascar. Took about 16 days to send a boat, and 2-3 more days to spread in a second country. It took an other 10 days to infect a 3rd country. Madagascar is a waste of time on both side.

Oh I was so close from the impossible badge : The world population went down to 1,000,000 after 85 days, but when I checked at the 99th day, there were still 100. Ultimately, I eradicated the humans 6 hours AFTER the 100 days completion. Wow, I was that close!
I followed Natuo98001's comment (the first one), as I started in Greenland, and it went incredibly well: started with sneeze and cold resistance, I followed with heat and moisture resists, and waited until a few other countries were infected. I unlearned sneeze, and wait for the spread. I was surprised to see Madagascar getting caught at the 16-17th day, and my infection went over the globe at the 28th day. Rapidly, I've bought up to tier 3 symptoms, with hemorraphia (dont remember exactly the name), and the killing began. I thought by that fast spreading and deaths, I would have done it. So I'll continue to follow this strat until I come up with the badge. Good luck to those who are still trying!

Well, I read that the president of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, is the youngest head of state in Africa. Perhaps that might be a factor as to why Madagascar is so sensitive to health issues.

to infect madagascar use only sneezing until 4 countrys are infected, then get rid of sneezing and put heat res all the way up

i find that if you start as parasite, get vomiting, because it will spread your disease very rappidly allowing you to get many points, because you evolve slower than a virus. as soon as you have infected about 4 places, sell vomiting and sit back and wait. after that, get vomiting, sores, and tier 2. get your lethality up while keeping your infection rates higher.
