hey i found a cheat sort of:use bactiera then go to superfast mode, and wait till you have about 40 points after that buy all drug resinst (forgot how to spell that) after you do this all hospitals will shut down (one might not) then the vaccine wont be able to research and you will win!

These posted guides, They aren't foolproof, It's nice to see some help for them that can't get it. I tried once, started in Cuba, got sneezing, later in the guide it says; don't get transmissions. (I got that from starting in Cuba). It's ok if the guides get re-posted, but not in every page. It's still spamming.

Just a few things about the game that have always bothered me, 1: Insects and Rodents are not border-respecting creatures. 2:Island nations still have air, water, birds, etc. Migration allows for infection. 3: If the world is infected with Insanity or Dementia... odds increase in accidental transmission.. especially to Border guards in those paranoid border/airport/shipyard closing places. Other than those... love the game... name every disease after my ex-wife ^^

Such a cool concept, but there is it's just so dumb that goverments are closing down eveything for no real reason, my virus has no symtoms and so it's not killing any one but the whole world gets scared shitless. We have harmless things living in all of us right now and the goverments aren't shuting down borders and flights and boats!

Argh, so close, 5 Chinese alive at the end of day 99.
Anyway, countries seem to start shutting down airports, etc. despite low visibility once the disease has infected around 100 million. So you want to keep initial infection numbers down. On the other hand, your starting country needs to be heavily infected to start spreading the virus to other countries. Thus, low population highly connected countries are great for starting, e.g., Greenland. Starting there, you can get half the world's countries infected with a total number of around 10000 infected people.

Started a game, disease started from madagascar, 44 days the disease is still in madagascar, everyone there is infected but it hasn't gone to any other place, i absolutely HATE madagascar, it's impossible to infect and if you start there it's impossible to infect other places. >_>
