i think the random party generator may not work right, i was watching it as it wildly updated and all of cabinet except the speaker(of course) and sometimes the SecofDef were always the same party
the government of the target country gets replaced with one friendly to ours, our relations go to fair, and the nation's stats get "rerolled" in a way. We also lose a percentage of national defense which is moved to the country in question. There are no amazing rewards for winning wars, and there never will be.

Frankly I feel that nation sim games are pretty much just always a pale imitation of better nation sim games that came before them and were more realistic. The gameplay is generally poor and tired, and it's not really the kind of game I care to make. I prefer to make innovative games that will hopefully spur others on to create games that are not pale carbon copies of previous games, which is sadly what the gaming industry has turned into.

I'm trying to "declare" a treaty with Iran. I have the clout, max energy, we have abysmal relations. But, for some reason it says it's an invalid selection. What am I missing?
Auth failures are on Kong's end. Nothing I can really do, sorry. Usually that goes away in a bit, though also make sure you aren't spoofing your IP somehow as that can cause problems.

I was playing against Reinstate NASA Funding, and I used Equate Taxes to Thievary and if gaffed. This seemed off, while I could see it not being super effective, I don't get how it would be a gaffe.
Well, increasing funding has nothing to do with increasing taxes... so I'd guess that's why. You must be confusing us with a country that has a balanced budget on the regular.

Could you add an energy regeneration timer? I know that energy regeneration is slow and why it's slow, but I like knowing exactly when I'm going to get more.

Does the CS loss scale with "how red" a stat is? For example does -10% happiness correspond to the same loss as -90% happiness? If it does it probably shouldn't - right? I feel like it would be kind of wrong if we could just keep dropping happiness to raise all the other stats and never get penalized.

So....... would it be possible to implement an Outfit system? I'm kinda tired of switching every single piece of clothing I have every time I'm about to finish off a bill.
at the end of each week, everyone in congress loses constituent support if two or more stats are in the red (some other things such as martial law and wars can count as a red stat as well). The loss amount scales with the number of red stats.

suggestion: add cannabis as a drug, however to be good rolemodels to our people and show our support of freedom we can only use it whilst outlawed.
The problem there is Kongregate. The game will work in anything that has a web browser in some capacity as it's all rendered in HTML. If you change something so that your tablet doesn't identify as a mobile browser, you'll be able to access the game normally. Otherwise you have to scroll down all the way on the main kongregate mobile screen and click the "enter normal site" link. Then you can get to the game.

Idea: Binary-related bills
What if, for binary bills that have been passed, you could pass other bills that are based on them. For example, if carbon tax is active, you could increase/decrease carbon tax, and then that would both effect tax rates and the ease of passing a counter binary bill.
This could work with many other binaries: Increase/decrease maximum wage, Increase/decrease nasa funding, etc etc.
This is an idea that's been around, but I've never had a particularly compelling reason to implement it. I suppose the way FR works is kind of like that, though.

If I have to start a new character due to death or unelection, and I have some higher tier items in my safe, do I have to wait until my new guy reaches that tier to use them? I'm assuming that's the case, but I just want to make sure.

What more do we need to do to get Japan to declare war on us? We give them no aid and charge them triple the base taxes. Or do we have to do something special like an embargo? Also - on a completely unrelated note - if i have a scandal I discovered on someone but don't release it can someone else discover it and use it?
uh yeah, that's kind of the point of embargo. You might even have to increase defense spending on top of that. Doesn't that especially make sense with Japan? (go read about the events leading up to Pearl Harbor)
Realistically that should have been a lot harder, and I'll be editing it back. The overrun from the military aid overkill was still hitting relations when it shouldn't have. I'm pretty sure I didn't even add a paper thing for that because it should be nearly impossible. There will be one now should it ever happen again... but it probably won't.
All your cash, your offshore cash, anything you're wearing and anything in your inventory go with you. Your safe deposit box items/clout stay there for your next clout character.

Suggestion: Add marijuana as a black market drug. It relieves stress a lot at very low cost, but when you are under the influence of it and try to speak on a bill, you gaffe in a way that shows you to be a pothead. this is very damaging to CSP (Intern scandal type damaging, or worse.) The more you take it, the greater chance you'll pot-gaffe even when not under its influence. This, coupled with addiction, would mitigate its cheapness. The influence period could last from 20-30 minutes.
Hallucinogens and such will get their own gig if I ever implement them. They'd really be too good compared to other drugs in game terms to be realistic if they traded stress/energy. 5HT agonists actually often make people stop being addicted to other drugs after even a single use.
