So, we need to have the choice, when creating a character: Single or married?? Married has the added option of having your wife campaign for you in the campaign management section, but if you're involved in an intern or prostitute scandal, it does twice the CSP damage, and you don't have the "Wife campaign" option any more.

First day of the month. Attempts to abuse this will lead to me banning you. And yes, people do report it. It's also pretty easy to see in the paper.. and unlike players, I DO know who releases scandals. So as usual: don't exploit the game or you get banned.

the facebook footer should be toggleable in some way, it often gets in the way of the lowest bill on the list as well as the ability to chance the country of a suggested foreign leader
That means that either your browser sucks and doesn't render things properly or you have some kind of zoom setting set. The footer doesn't obscure any part of the game when it renders according to W3C standards.

Not sure if this has been asked before (too lazy to sift through all the comments) but what happens if a committee ends in a tie for the "double" and "halve" values?
Random roll. I was going to make it the speaker's vote, but turns out the speaker's vote has no special significance in congress. They just traditionally withhold it unless required to break a tie.

Oh, and when you mouse over a link to someone's status page, could it highlight in their color party? At the moment it looks like they're all communists until you actually see their profiles. xD
I actually like that as a solution to the white text for link vs color for party problem. Congratulations on coming up with a better solution to that than anyone in the last 2 years or so.

I have plans to add a deep investigation feature that ignores lower-level scandals. I previously made it harder to cover up serious scandals and hoped that would do it... but it seems it hasn't.

Well... I'm colorblind, and I find my self occasionally supporting the wrong parties bills. I suggest a colorblind mode? The blue and purple are quite similar to me as well as the orange and green on the bills page.
Are there 5 different colors you can readily differentiate when colorblind? (serious question -- I have no idea. Feel free to respond in PMs if you prefer). I can alter the 5 colors to be those colors with a toggle.

Also, just wondering, have you ever thought of implementing, well... legal ways to deal with energy and stress? I mean, did any of these politicians ever think of maybe buying a simple coffee, taking a vacation, reading a book, etc. etc. etc.? I know that it might not fit with the satire theme, but still... Perhaps legal methods would be less effective, or have less of an effect over a longer period of time, or... Well, you get the point, I hope. Just a thought! Who knows, mebbe I'm just thinking about it too much, hehe. :B
The problem is that such things would either need to be exceptionally weak bordering on useless, or nobody would ever use the scandalous things. Cigars and booze are realistically pretty close to scandal free. The hits are quite minor, and many people use them to block for other scandals.

Yes, I believe I set in-committee bills to always show and always be on top of the list (below binaries and win bills) no matter what your filters are set to. Let me know if this isn't the case, and I'll look into it.

We need some way to associate with the mafia. There are game ending scandals associated with it, but hits cost less, and maybe there are ways to make money... Still, we need to be able to associate with the mob. Maybe make it trait-related.

You get the reward money when the bill actually goes into effect upon the nation. The reason is that various other factors can stop this from happening after your bill is passed, such as a delay committee or a veto.

So, I looked at the wiki, and what I can glean from it is that either lots of bills have no effects at all on the country, or that we hardly know what they actually do. It's almost like we're actual congresspeople.
The wiki is non-official information and thus very incomplete. With how bills are applied EOD, it's effectively impossible to figure out what each bill does (this is quite intentional). However, Deep Throat provides a way of figuring it out.

I once played a Legislative Review committee on one of my own bills, and the bill ended up failing, but I got clout anyway because apparently playing a Leg. committee counts as playing against. xD

shazam. Also, yes, I did try to draw a pretty stark line between libertarians and conservatives. Libertarians are libertarian/conservative, whereas conservatives are authoritarian/conservative. Liberal:Socialist is the same setup.

The player population was actually significantly more balanced before this past week or two. A large number of players came in from an unknown source and heavily skewed the playerbase to the left. I've noticed that most places players come in from offsite seem to have a left lean, while kongregate itself seems much more neutral. A lot of the people who play actually don't give a crap about politics.

depends on how bad things are going for everyone and your party. There's two separate possibilities for a penalty if you're CT3+. Check the paper for more info.

Various things look like hacking to the server that might not actually be. For example: clicking to buy something twice when you have only enough cash to buy it once.

Right now the algorithm is mostly random with weighting towards the appointee's affiliation, but eventually it will be more intelligent and based on game conditions such as that.
