I played a committee on one of my bills that was poisoned in effort to have the pill removed and it told me "Acting in support of a poisoned bill has cost you some constituent support." Shouldn't a conference committee be exempt from that unless I (or anyone that acts on it) vote to keep the pill?

You report the bug you found and I fix it. As I just did. The real question is how in the world this went unnoticed/unreported this long. Guess there aren't many names at the max number of characters allowed.

people are dying of poor health. taxes are higher than anywhere in the world, yet debt is higher than the gdp, and the people are still pretty happy.
I guess maybe unhappy people are more likely to die when unhealthy? Or maybe people are happy that money is spent in an attempt to do something... even if it's not exactly working. Though, population and GDP growth aren't presently too bad.
I can move your account to a facebook account, but I don't currently have things set up such that you can get at the same clout account from both a facebook and kong account.

@delos, but it would require two accidental misclicks(accidentally clicking the wrong committee and accidentally forming it rather than clicking a few pixels below the required area
Generally it's intended that you click on the button on the combo box, not some random place on the body. The button for the combo box is located quite far from either of the submission buttons.

can you make it so the dropdown menu when you go to make a committee is by default set to blank so its harder to accidentally introduce a committee?

This can be useful, but it's not official and therefore might be wrong. Initially I designed it so anyone can wear anything without worrying about the stats to prevent powerleveling.

I introduced and passed a bill, bought Rational Debate, and tried it out on a new bill. Is there supposed to be more tutorial that I'm missing?
That's about it. At this point you should be passing bills, buying new abilities and learning how to use them most effectively. Once you hit CT2, a variety of new gameplay options will open up.

Apparently when I genericized VIP selection I didn't write a special case for the president dying. Guess it hasn't happened in a while. I'll fix it before v1.0

I should probably just add messages for each case instead of a general failure message. Honestly I don't remember the algorithm well enough to tell you.

First time playing this game. Spent 2K on a spiffy suit and tie before passing out twice ranting about 9/11 and Tax Income. Then I consulted the forums.
Think I'll be playing this game for a while.
I've actually been thinking about this question since you asked it. It doesn't exactly have any good answer. The way it is now I think it comes after, but I realized either entirely after or before wouldn't really be an accurate model. Even something like the compound interest formula doesn't really cover the taxation aspect, though I could calculate the debt rise itself more accurately. I think what I'm going to do in the near term is make half of it come before the multiplier, and half after.

Will there ever be an "outfit" setting as I constantly find myself switching back and forth between two sets of clothes and it'd be very helpful if you could save a certain set of clothes to an outfit and then switch from the main menu quickly.
Optimal play no longer involves outfit changing. Make sure that you've read the forums for the recent stat changes. They're quite extensive, and haven't been put into the help files yet.
