Under rating threshold (show) Could you implement a "detox program" where players can pay to get unaddicted faster?

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

People have requested this before, though I'm not really sure how I want to handle it. A real rehab program actually keeps you addicted longer, somewhat ironically. They just give you drugs that manage the withdrawal symptoms. So I might add something where you can pay to have the withdrawals go away, but you'll be addicted longer and if you use during rehab they kick you out. The rehab option may also affect/deal with scandals relating to the drug(s) somehow.

Under rating threshold (show) when it says constituent support is at 5% can it actually be lower because it seems to be very hard to increase once it hits 5%

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

Your election chance can never go below 5%, no matter how low your constituent support is. The description of your support on the status screen will change to something about an angry mob with pitchforks and such when your constituent support goes below -10,000.

Under rating threshold (show) The emergence of a group of trolls (Old Crow, Bakemono, PETA, Stephen Colbert) highlights the need for a party to have some way to enforce the majoritary vision on its own members. Maybe there should be a way to vote out/dissociate/refuse funding from the national committee, which would lead to a large loss loss of CS. I'm not arguing for the ban of this group of people, quite the opposite, they make the game more interesting, but we should have a way to deal with it.

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

You already do have many ways to deal with it. When I see an x64 bill with no opposition and every time they put something in committee it's 8 votes to double and 1 or 2 to halve... I just don't see a need to implement new features to stop them. People already aren't using the options available to them. The fact that everyone managed to let that bill through is frankly kind of hilarious. It's not easy to pass something that everyone is against.

Under rating threshold (show) I just started playing (finished the first bill), but now I'm locked out, The message sais "The developer has locked you out of the game. You likely got a couple warnings before this happened. You were probably multiboxing. If you feel your punishment is in error, contact the developer through the Facebook page or Kongregate PMs." I don't use multiple accounts and i received no warning. somebody please help me

+ - !

Well, you previously shared an IP with another user within minutes of their login, but it appears that you no longer do. This may have been some kind of coincidence. I've unlocked your account.

Under rating threshold (show) Spam?,Why not a wait between 2 hours :P.

I might implement something like that if it keeps being a problem, but realistically I think the new change will handle it fine.

Mar. 13, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) it would be handy to be able to mail people without associating them, maybe you'd need to be ct2+ to prevent spam

+ - !

(-1)

Apparently he just wanted the achievement for it, and didn't expect it to pass. Frankly I'm surprised they've done even this good of a job of propping it up considering how hard I made win bills.

Under rating threshold (show) delos, but the vice president doesnt instantly move up to president, the president becomes "DECEASED" until either you bother to fiddle with it or a certain time(not sure which), so what happens if the vice president dies before moving up to president?

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

Simply because I hadn't yet updated the game to reflect succession shouldn't be taken to mean that it hasn't actually happened yet. In technicality, it happens immediately.

r2d2go

Mar. 11, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) what DOES intensify/split do on a Win bill?

+ - !

(-1)

Developer response from delosford

Intensify makes all abilities played for either side much stronger for a short duration. Split takes a large amount of support from the bill, but spawns a bunch of random self-healing bills of the same party as the win condition.

Under rating threshold (show) If you use substances more than once a day, does the chance for addiction increase?

+ - !

(2)

There's a roll that happens once every time you use a drug. It's not affected by how frequently you've been using.

Under rating threshold (show) DO YOUR BEST GUYS! THIS IS PART OF HISTORY, AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE! Also Q, would CC a win bill and halving /not/ win the game for liberals?

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

Look at the buttons a bit closer the next time a CC comes up on it. It does something rather different for win condition bills since doubling/halving would make no sense.

Noly

Mar. 11, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Well, if both the president and vice president would get killed by coordinated assassinations, the Speaker of the House would get president, if it would happen now, it would be Kang.

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

Nope. Players can't become anything but the speaker. As soon as the president is appointed, they appoint a new VP.

Rhysdog

Mar. 10, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) what happens if both the president and the vice president die?

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

Nothing special. The vice-president succeeds the president and appoints a new vice-president. Then the president dies again, and gets replaced by the vice-president.

Rhysdog

Mar. 10, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) other than the possibility of giving someone enough money to assasinate a vip do grey bills have any noticable affects on the nation?

Mar. 10, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) so, I've never really understood how the tags work for safety deposit boxes. Could you explain? Thanks!

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

Tag an equipment slot. Should you die, get unelected, etc: the piece of equipment you were wearing at the time will be put into the box as if you had stored the item itself previously. This is so you can store something while still wearing it. Largely this was implemented for owners of custom items, since wearing them would preclude storing them and I didn't want it to just be an auto loss of them if you lose your character, and obviously I wouldn't want people to not wear what they got customized either.

Under rating threshold (show) If someone completes a bill with the final ability play being a committee, the bill is "in committee" but completed at the same time, so we can't vote and the support bar also shows as empty before we click it. Srs bug.

Yeah, this happens under certain conditions. I already fixed the bill to be passed and will fix the other thing in a bit.

Mar. 09, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Is it possible to make it so we can easily see someone's clout tier by looking at them? The current implementation requires one of: 1. They have an active bill. 2. They are on the Cloutiest list. 3. They are CT4. 4. They are one of your Cronies. For anyone else, you can't tell what clout tier they are.

+ - !

(3)

Developer response from delosford

yeah, I can add that somewhere on look. It'll probably take me a couple days before I do it.

Rhysdog

Mar. 09, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) so how does this win bill tthingy work? we vote to intensify over and over until it passes or vice versa to stop it?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

Not exactly. Moses just committeed it straight away. It works much like a normal bill, but conference committee has a different function that's essentially for even having a chance at passing it. It can also be used to "salvage" a failed attempt, in a manner of speaking. It'll probably be easiest to just watch how stuff plays out.

ManUChamp

Mar. 09, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) I'm interested in knowing whether 'Almost Flawless Past' affects the ability of people to uncover scandals on said person with that trait.

+ - !

(7)

Developer response from delosford

Yeah. The way it works is that an investigation has to be of at least a certain roll to even have a chance of finding a scandal. The value of that cutoff point is higher when you investigate people with nearly flawless past.

SaladinSpartan

Mar. 09, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) pass chance=pass chance? so if it reaches zero then it fails, right?

+ - !

(-2)

Developer response from delosford

Pass chance never reaches 0, and no. Binary bills end at the end time, and have a chance of passing indicated by the pass chance.

henry700

Mar. 09, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) 1% or more. It's just a chance modifier, jeez.

Mar. 09, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) ossu abolished the maximum wage and now he's trying to bring it back, there should be an achievement for that

Under rating threshold (show) I think the thorough one covers up slander as well, but not blackmail, and the quick one covers up Benzodiaprenes.

+ - !

(1)

It's based on how damaging the scandal is, not per-scandal.

Rhysdog

Mar. 08, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) would i be correct in saying that a quick scandal coverup covers up anything in the basic store, a thorough one covers up anything in the black market and the 50k one covers up anything in skullduggery?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

not quite, no. Quick coverup isn't that crappy.

Daktoria

Mar. 07, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) CT2 (Green) Needs Campaign Contributions that make sense. Right now, I can only do ones that take 300, 500, 2500, or 3000 clout. There's nothing in between.

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

Campaign contributions are random and shared between all players in the game. They also change frequently (most of the time).

Under rating threshold (show) Another addition to the bill filter should be "Bills I have acted on". I think it would be pretty useful.

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

This was originally included and removed for performance reasons relating to an apparent bug/shortcoming in SQL. Fixing it is on my to-do list, but it'll probably take a while as it's going to be something I have to hack around in a crappy way.

Under rating threshold (show) i think it would be funny to be able to get campaign contributions to introduce other parties win bills "introducing fund everything has cost you ALL your constituent support"

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

unfortunately, such a thing would be much more likely to just uselessly take up a slot for a while, which is why binaries and win conditions don't show up there.

neah84

Under rating threshold (show) So I just started and somehow my clout is at -10,000...how is that possible?

Under rating threshold (show) Can you add killing foreign leaders to mess up the world. I would love to send ninjas into North Korea. And maybe annexing Mexico.

Under rating threshold (show) Hey Q. A question about griefing. What counts as griefing? like repeatedly tossing out one player's bills? or like assassinating them a lot? also protip: it's spelled Laissez-faire

Under rating threshold (show) So since the game shows other countries defence shouldn't their be binary bills to "Consider attacking them" (A Even better way to waste our money!) Like we spend our own defence to attack them. (But only people with bad relations to us) this new feature would mess up the game faster for us!

+ - !
