Lived with the new UI for a day now... yeah, gotta say it tries to do too much. I appreciate the effort to revise all the graphics... but the new layout is just overly busy and there are now way too many clicks to sort through things. It also runs much slower and I have problems with it freezing all the time. This might be the end of my investment of time in what as a truly pleasant time-waster, but has now turned into a bit of a chore. This coming from someone who has spent real-life $ on the game.

I have been playing this game religiously over the two months or so, pretty much every day. It is a complex game, which I like, I and I was starting to build the reincarnations, right mercenary moves., etc to get the flow This 2.0 is terrible - it turned from a statistics game to a convoluted stats game. I tried playing today and I will be stopping. I can't get even into all the things that are wrong with this - including the categories to the left. Well done making a remarkable game in v1, but v2 is a two star at best

I like the new UI since it makes it look a bit more like a actual flash game the only real problem i encountered since the patch is the bugged to hell droprate for faction coins, for example i had 7 hours of afk with faceless which i normally before the overhaul would get near a 100k of each factioncoin but now i got not even near 500 coins in total.

This was my favourite game on Kongregate, I liked the wealth of content and the clean UI. Now you went the way of Avdenture Capitalist and cluttered up the UI with too much stuff and unidentifiable icons.
Pity :-(

Bug? When I have 10 upgrades to buy, if I click over an already bought icon the the total upgrades number decreases until zero, then, when I close the upgrade menu, the total number is restored to 10.

I do not want to seem unappreciative of all the work you put into this. But would it be possible to have an option to switch to the old layout?

@JusticarRath - Pretty sure the FC weren't labeled in the old version, either, though the colors for them are the same. Also, Excavations' MultiBuy button rotates, and has a BuyMax option. It's right under their buy button, just like before.

To be honest, it looks nice but you made game very slow.
At least there should be an option to togle of "mouse over" effects.
After a few trys I don't need those explanations anymore and they make game flow catastrophic.

There's no way to tell what Faction Coin pile/icon on the bottom left goes with what faction until after you spend it. None of them are labeled. Everywhere you spend them, they're referenced by name....not color or even icon (Even in Extended mode).
Excavations should have a buy all...especially since you can't change the quantity to purchase while the dialog is open. I can't even fall back to Shift/Ctrl buying mode

i was kinda getting bored of this game (reincarnation 9) and this update has confirmed my decision to stop playing. It is just to annoying to figure it all out :(

Here I am just coming back after a day and not thinking of anything and being hit by the overhaul truck. If you could have seen me, you'd see WTF on my face. Looks nice! Keep going!

The layout is nice (and even better) so long as you don't have the extended style enabled, which was default initially and the reason for most of the complaints

I for one, like the new layout. It displays the data, such as % production per building & mana production rate, etc. directly.
Further, the new arrangement feels a bit more fluid after a short time of use.
It strikes me that many of the complaints here are from those that have spent many, many hours playing the old setup & thus were disturbed by the alteration.

The new graphics are impressive...but unfortunately they are getting a bit in the way of game play. The layout isn't as simple or intuitive. One reason people chooses to use google vs a lot of other search engines is because of its simplicity. The old version had a simple lay out, easy to read, to follow, to understand. Here, everything is just too busy. I would suggest an option to revert to the old graphics possibly.

Loved this game, new update did exactly what I though it would do though, bog down my browser and make it almost unplayable, this was one of the best idle games on this website, now I can't even click to gain coins, I already miss the old simple layout

OK, update means progress/evolution, but I am personally not finding it very pleasing. Maybe because I get too used to old UI.
Instead of using isometric view and almost realistic graphic. Using 2D with pastel/bright colors would serve better.
I am totally missing overview of faction coins

I have been playing this game for a while and have enjoyed it, but with this new U.I., I have been forced to quit. Why would you integrate the purchased upgrades with the rest of them? And why hide the 'hide purchased upgrades' button. It used to be out the way, but not inaccessible. And why confirm coin royal exchange purchases, especially when I have fully upgraded all of my factions. I do not understand changing every trophy and upgrade look because most people play this game liked the familiarity. And was there a reason to make it more difficult to purchase and look through upgrades? I understand the Buy All button, and love it, but it has become the only possible way to buy any upgrades at all because of the confusing layout. And the font? from 5/5 ----> 1/5

the confirmation window for royal exchanges of the faction your allied with is pointless when you already have all the upgrades for that faction, its just annoying...

Wowie! Came back after more than a month to a completely new game! It looks great, and while I'm still getting a grip on the new format, I'm impressed so far.

To everyone having trouble finding upgrades: Go to the gear at the bottom right and click "Hide Purchased Upgrades." This gets rid of most of the clutter

The new UI is much more confusing and difficult to use. This was my go-to idle game, but now it's not nearly as smooth to play. 5/5 --> 2/5.

That wasn't an upgrade, it was an overhaul, new layout takes a few seconds to get use too, but the new stuff is certaintly worth the few seconds you need to get aquainted.

Already understanding that Realm Grinder needed to ditch the new UI unlike AdCap...
Surprisingly I didn't find the new UI that bad after taking a look around.
I'd recommend that there should be a font change to the original where it's possible, and also one to be able change the background to something like the old version, with a plain screen and a treasure chest. Research should have its own section, like Challenges did, so you could see the stuff there right away. (I really love this change in particular)
