Valentine's Day is not a corporate holiday - it's existed long before that as a celebration in honor of an actual person. Also, we had a New Year's Event, and it's possible DG was too busy with that, then the Artifacts Expansion, to work on a Chinese New Year Event, especially with making the upcoming expansion. They pick and choose which Events to make to avoid overloading us with Events as well. There are many Events they could have done since they started doing Events. If they did one for every holiday, we'd never stop having Events.

just wondering why an event for valentines day, and not one for the Chinese new year, I understand it is a Chinese holiday and not celebrated by everyone, but valentines day is a corporate sales day and isn't celebrated by every one.

A well done entry in the "idle" genre. The factions add a lot of replay value over other idle games and are pretty varied. Having the game work offline is a great touch. The trophies are insidiously well made. Just a nice, chill game all around.

@Hinterlands That's beacuse you are rewarded for little to no activity at all, making you repeat it so often and making it harder for you to stop. It's explained by behaviourism.

A game that makes you keep exploring it, regardless of how far you progress into the game. 11/10 would lose my life playing this again

Further testing with the odd scaling issue shows that:
1) it only happens whenever Windows' scale setting is anything but default and
2) adjusting Firefox's browser scaling fixes the problem, but ONLY if it's changed while on a different page before the game is even opened; otherwise the scaling issue becomes worse.

1) Show the chance for territorial expansion on the tooltip for the treasure and/or labyrinth.
2) 2 bugs related to Merc – a) when I get into the menu to get an upgrade, some of the things I bought in a previous session will be checked b) when I leave the menu, some upgrades are greyed out and others look buyable when they aren’t – fixes itself after a few seconds
3) Some sort of upgrade (maybe a secret upgrade) that makes some % of time spent as Drow count as time offline

I've gotten all 6 heritages from the vanilla factions, but the option for neutral factions hasn't shown up yet... how did I break this, I don't even.

Has anyone noticed a reduction is gem creation rates since the Feb 1st update? With the same build, before could I generate 30 Vg gems in the time it now takes me to generate 2 Vg gems.

Forgot to mention a detail about the scrying: I haven't played in a few days, so the ad shortage error shouldn't appear.

I'd also like to mention that on a Windows computer, the system's font zoom (the accessibility option built into Windows) causes the whole game's scaling to go way out of whack. Adjusting the web browser's zoom makes it worse.

Yeah, scrying rarely works for me, too. Adblock or no adblock - it varies between the "sorry, no ads to display" and a solid black screen that I have to manually close out of. Neither gets a reward.

Scrying is broken right now... I watch a hyundai ad, but Realm Grinder says 'Sadly you could not..' no scrying reward. Phooey.

When you unlock dwarves, Do an elf run. Excavate to get the faction coins you need for the base upgrades then enjoy the glory that is moon blessing(with sun blessing) and diamond pickaxe.
Elves got a massive buff, so don't listen to all the elf haters.

Scrying is broken. For that, rating demoted to 1 star. Most of the times the video doesnt even play. When it does, I watch the whole thing, and don't get credit.

There should be a way to get more rubies to reset your expeditions. It is extremely hard to find rubies and reset. Especially after the dwarf upgrades it is difficult to do anything! Please give a motive!
