Angels are not useless, the more time you invest in them, the better they become, but if you want efficient Gem farming, they are pretty bad compared to Demons. If you would get the passive increase from total spells cast, instead of spells cast this game, Angels would be much much better.

269 Royal Exchanges.
1,326m Gems.
3,000 spell casts (1347%) (more or less)
30 Seconds of Call to Arms (1008%)
30 Seconds of God's Hand (4098%)
27,3 Mana per second.
I have enough mana to cast Call to Arms, God's Hand and Call to Arms again, and if i want, Tax Collection.
Thats... by the game, 16.73Sx coins per click.
On a Faction thats focused on active gameplay (not idle) I dont see how its 'weak'
Sure each faction is good on their own, but angels being useless? Ok.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Seeing as how the evil side is suppoed to be focused on passive idle play can you consider making the assistant clickers 100% or more effective during offline mode?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ok, so I decided to play Angels since everyone was saying I was wrong about them. I'm at 3k spells cast now and 300 Heaven's Gates (30.9 mana regen) and even if I use Call to Arms + God's Hand + Tax Collection combo, it still feels weak, and I have to be constantly casting, don't have the autocast upgrade, which means if I do it's -50% mana regen. Might be better with autocast upgrade, but I still can't cast spells in offline mode, so yeah.
In my opinion angels are by far the weakest. Demons are by far the strongest.
If Goblins, Undead and Angels have their percentage increase per game changed to total, this might be better (as in spells cast total).

Last hidden Trophy is the "Faction Grinder": Purchase all the Faction Heritage upgrades in a single game (the ones for 5k Faction Coins)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
People seem to forget that angels have the upgrade which give all buildings increased productions based on spells cast. That's like 300-400+% an hour if you leave tax collection running. And when you get back and buy all your buildings you have even more mana. I find that if you're active it sacles way faster, and if you're inactive, the passive from that upgrade helps keep up with other classes.

sooo gems from older resets means nothing if latest reset gained you zero gems 11000+ gems and zero bonus farmer produces 2 inn 6 (11210 gems)

am i the only one who's not getting assistants every time? problem persists through soft resets... btw, this really is a great game. looking forward to all the new updates. thanks guys, awesome work! :)

@Delauney: resp. = respectively. There are two upgrades, "Improved Autocasting" and "Masterful Autocasting". The former is available at 2M total mana spent and decreases the autocasting penalty to 25%. The ladder is available at 6M total mana spent and removes the autocasting penalty completely.
@JaqThay: see above. you probably miss both.

Although angles can stack cta and gods hand to get around x250 production and they have like 20 mana regen, their faction unique passive skills only give them x4 production, so a total of x1000 which is dwarfed by the demon x3500 and more assistants. Goblins can get around x40 with their passive and around another x50 with blood frenzy and cta for total of around x2000. Remember this is super late game though. Best faction to farm some early gems is angels though.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The best late game faction (once you have all the heritages, trophies and loads of gems) is goblins. You cannot afford any more buildings past a certain point due to the exponential scaling costs of buildings, but goblins can get free buildings with their faction spell - you will need goblins to get to 300 hell portals. The best faction to farm gems is definitely demons. Their faction unique PASSIVE upgrades can get to around x250 production on hell portals, and hellfire can get another x14, aka x3500 production, not to mention 30 assistants and more mana regen

Why does it say "Welcome back, King" when im fact I'm a financially successful evil tyrant? It's rather demeaning and ruins my street credit with the other demons.

@Suco - do you have a list of the upgrades. I've got 116 including Legend Amongst Legends. Don't have Masterful Autocasting... wondering which other I'm missing.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@suco: I may just be tired, but what is "resp" in this context? I'm probably being dumb and overlooking something obvious.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah but what self respecting demon would choose not to use Hellfire blast whenever possible? The 1000s of percent help and when Hell portals are literally 89% of your CpS then it is just sooooooo very effective. The upgrades for Hell portal are insane, But fair enough i will try Angels next time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@element325: There are at least 118 upgrades. The ones you are missing are probably Improved & Masterful Autocasting (2M resp. 6M Total Mana Spent, reduces resp. eliminates autocasting penalty) and Legend amongst Legends (don't know how to obtain, probably through enough trophies, 100% bonus to Hall of Legends).

@Stolichnaya One of the new hidden trophies is Faction Grinder; Purchase all the faction heritage upgrades in a single game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ueberbob, almost all boosts are multiplicative unless they say otherwise. The Royal exchange is all one combined quantity. The Hall of Legends starts at 20M per second and the trophies add an additional 250K per trophy before any multiplication is considered. The treasure chest click upgrades (the ones that give a percentage of the production to clicks) are additive.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Anyone have a quick guide to which boosts are multiplicative and which are additive? I'm working on a spreadsheet-based effective gain calculator to tell the percent boost new purchases give relative to total production instead of base production, and it would help greatly to be sure of how different boosts combine.

@HironM that's not a bug. The game's save data is stored with cookies so if you delete browser history you delete your save info. You could ask the developers to help with fresh save data for you to import... but that's about it.

A bug happened to me, i just deleted my browser history, and my save just got deleted, and already had played for like 12 days, so theres something you can do?

Also, current upgrades to HoL means that after enough trophies, the bonus to other buildings is higher than the bonus to the HoL, decreasing the % of production that HoL does significantly.

Only have Fairy, Elven, Angel, and Goblin Faction Heritages so far. I think, for Fairy, the reward should be an extra assistant every 50 Farm, Inn, Blacksmith after the first 100, and every 75 (or 100) for everything else (except HoL). Out of Fairy, this means the bonus is extremely small. For Goblin, the 1% increase is fine, but since the focus of the Goblin faction is costs, I think it should decrease the costs of the buildings. Or you could do a second Heritage upgrade for 10K faction coins for those two. If so, an idea for the other two I have would be: Angel: Decrease spell cost by 50% OR increase spell duration by 2x and Elven: Double Faction Coin gain rate (If possible, under Elven it does double chance to gain 2x FC, stacking with the other for 4x as many). The reason for halving the spells' mana cost is that 1) 10K FC is a lot to gain, and 2) you already decrease them by 100 as Angel-aligned, so that decreasing by 100 would put Tax Collection at 0 each cost.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Vulcan900, the gems don't go away in a soft reset. So the gems you see are in addition to the 19k you already have. It takes longer to obtain them for that very reason.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Getting 100,000 coins without buildings to get the secret trophy "Building Hater" isn't as hard as you might think: click 500 times and purchase Sturdy Treasure; click 1000 times and buy Durable Treasure; click 200 times and get Filled Treasure then click 1334 times to reach 100,050. Total clicks 3034 to get the achievement. Took me about 20 minutes and you've already got 100,000 coins and a load of faction coins to start your next run with.

Is it a thing with these games that the low tier building upgrades are way too expensive to be even remotely viable...?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Grungeking Unless you're playing Fairy. Then they're absurd in a very different way. And once you get into the really high level upgrades, your neutral buildings will actually be outperforming your low level alignment buildings simply because of the larger bonuses per upgrade.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@clasher 5000 Coins are nothing as soon as you get a Coin every 4 Clicks and some of the Fc Upgrades are the best in the Game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@reaperofthesouth if you hover over each faction upgrade it gives a rough idea of how they play. I agree that it could use a bit more clarification but it is not without explanation. Angels for example say "Angel's ability with magic is unparalleled as they have the inate power to infuse mana into everything they touch" which hints at boosted mana regen (and they get ALOT of it) but does not mention that they get stronger with each spell cast. Some factions however, are less clear such as Goblins. Their faction description is "The sly Goblins excel at making the best possible deals and bargains. Affiliating yourself with the Goblins will offer you heavy you heavy discounts on every purchase". While that is the main perk of Goblins (up to 30% discounts on buildings) it has no mention of their other abilities and makes the faction sound weak do to players thinking discounts are their only benefit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Am I missing something with the faction heritage upgrades? 5,000 faction coins is rather steep for a relatively small bonus. Do purchased FH upgrades remain purchased across games, rather than simply unlocked?
