the enimies will start kicking you and then wont stop, ive tried beating the game seven times..ive rated it one because of this..:(

I think the damage needed to be more consistant, enemies shouldn't be able to kick you multiple times and keep you stunned indefinitely (because of which the third boss needs rebalancing), there needs to be some way to deal with 2 enemies ganging up on you without getting killed, enemies sometime aren't stunned when you kick them, fix being unable to hit an enemy when you're right on top of them, some kind of story would be nice (even just a single paragraph of text), and be able to kill the last boss without needing your invincibility after dying multiple times.
...buuuuuutt other than that it was pretty good :) The combat felt visceral and fun, and the imagery (heads chopped off, spear through the skull) was awesome. When things all lined up and you're mowing down row after row of greek soldiers, it's an experience. You just need to deliver that experience more consistently.

wow. when you people try to hack at least make it less obvious! wow. and this game really needs upgrades. lke if you can switch weapoins whenever you want and if you can purchase spears so like you can carry more then 1 at a time. and maybe be able to use bow & arrows

yeah ok.. thebobking u can hit ppl with the sword its easy... its just that u probley suck and like yesh i agree about the damage thing but i twould be pretty freaking hard to beat it without that at some points.. of the game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Not my favorite game, especially considering the damage differences and the 2nd boss and the fact that bosses die when you die AND the fact that you can't hit an enemy when you are standing right next to him. Sure, you can hit an enemy two feet away with a spear, but can you hit an enemy with a sword that is right next to you? no. Can they hit you? Yes.
+5 to start
-1 horrible collision detections
-1 kicks
-.5 no upgrades
-.5 glitchy bosses.
2/5

ok, so this ridiculous, 'load a new saved game' thing is wretched... i won through level 4 with 4 lives left, so in order to beat the game, i have to do the same thing again. if i die once, it will reload the 'old' saved game. LAME

I agree with many of the "constructive criticism" offered below although not with the way that these people chose to deliver them. Ability to pause would be nice, an accurate lives remaining counter would be nice. I thought there were some strokes of genius in this game. I couldn't get enough of throwing a spear through a enemies head. I liked seeing the heads fly, just needs a bit more plot, some ways to ugrade and make all the characters fictional so you don;'t get people questioning your interpretation of historical events/characters. 3 of 5 from me. Could easily be a 4 with refinement

holy crap, finished the stupid game (how old is this thing now?) and found out that you had changed the badge. way to update the game immediately after putting it on here... the game itself varies between ridiculously easy and ludicrously hard. the only way i can see to beat the final boss is to have about 3 lives left and whack him to death while you're blinking. he doesn't seem to respond to kicks or hits like anything else in the game does.

Achilles is an extremly mediocre game. There aren't any upgrades, which kind of ruin the fun of even playing further in survival. The enemies are the same, and they only upgrade by their speed and moves. Its also unfair and unrealistic because a kick to the stomach does more damage than a spear. The damage percentages are very inconsitent making this game mediocre and annoying.

Achilles is a wimp in this game. Have you ever read the Achilles legend? I expected more from this game, what a let down.

this isnt the greatest game because;
1:Theres no upgrades, wepons, skills, or otherwise
2:the enemys dont feel ur slashes, so u cant get combos off, all u do is slash and duck for sheild, repeat. beat anything in game
3:Wtf is with the challange? its not the games fault but wtf kong i dont want some shitty 360 game, ud think that if i was gonna enter the lottery for a game it would AT LEAST be pc..damn...

It seems if you get hit once, you're helpless for a while - long enough to lose all your health provided you got hit once. There really needs to be some way to recover.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
its glitchy but with some practice you can time the 1 hit kills almost every time. i can get to the boss but since i only have one life, i cant beat him yet

I really like how you can get perma-stunned between two guys kicking you, and how you can get hit from an arrow offscreen before you can duck. Oh, also I REALLY like how the damage you do varies from 1/10th of an enemy's HP and a 1 hit KO. Seriously, did this game really deserve both badges and a challenge? There are many, MANY issues with the programming and implementation. Thumbs-down on this one. Another set of badges that I will not get due to the game they are attached to being of terrible quality.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
lol pretty easy badges =/ just need to block with rangers and just stab them use the spear on melee to elimanate them easily and the spear people are just plain easy.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I really didn't have the problems most of you had until I got to level 4. The guys there attacked after they had their heads chopped off. Even to the point that I got killed by one :S And, I hit the 4th boss 5 times at least, yet his bar showed full. But the game was fun until then. Getting those 1 hit kills 7 times in a row. Damn those are sweet. 3/5

okay, just start a normal game, then play for a little less than a minute, then quit that game, then somehow you will get the hard badge!
idk how,
it happened for me.
BY ACCIDENT!
wierd, huh?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh almost forgot, if your like surrounded by a bunch of enemies try to get them to one side and do a Jump stab to eliminate a few, then kill the rest off... (Note: takes practice!)

F*** this badge! I had 4 lives and 54 kills. One archer one soldier with a spear entered and while I fought him an archer entered and shot. I blocked and the spear kicked. Kicks obviusly cannot be blocked. I finished the guy and the archer with a tiny little bit of life. I kicked the next guy to hell and back just to get finished by one quick hit after he had broken his leg for the sixt time. When I came back three more had already entered, one archer. End of the story. 2/5

this game sucks nuts. it takes me like 3 secs to swing and then take 1. once u get 3 on u, yer dead. game is the worst
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
OK, I got hit by a swordsman 5 times with one hit, I jumped over an archer, that hit me from outside the screen (before he was visible), and three other guys entered. So I turned around to kill the archer when another archer entered the with two sguys (after he had shot from outside the screen).
Short: this game is unfair!!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is bad, I usually don't say that cause most games have redeeming values but this is horrible. I cant stay entertained enough to get past 10 secs on the story mode and past 5 kills on survival. There is only one attack button with the weapon and I cant figure out how to use it the same way with each swing. Taking damage is inevitable because with each enemy you have to be lucky enough to swing first at the range. The sound fx and music are bad, graphics are on par with a toddlers fingerpainting, and the entertainment is gripping enough that I almost resisted picking up the phone when a telemarketer called. If there were a negative star rank, i'd give it, but 1/5 will have to suffice.
