This game wouldn't suck if... A) Enemies couldn't just start kicking you to death with no way of countering/blocking it. B) Archers didn't greet you with an arrow from offscreen that you have no warning or defense against. C) Kicking the enemy was actually a useful technique. If you attack them after stunning them, they counterattack immediately. D) The attack you used wasn't a total crapshoot. Sometimes the sword decapitates enemies, sometimes it dings off 1/10th of their health.

Surviving the Odds
Dude! You just completed the Surviving the Odds achievement in Achilles and won the Surviving the Odds badge and 15 points! Now I never have to play this game again. Thank God.

There is a glitch at the end of level 2 where the boss dies after you, and you don't get credit for the kill, so you can't beat the game.

i found a glitch that if you throw a spear at the same time as stage 2's boss it disappears and if you let him kill you he suddenly dies

this is probably one the worst game with a badge on kongregate.
Its a piece of crap. There is no fixing it. Just delete it.

I was pointing out the same thing katsup did. When there is still 1 life and you die it’s game over. If you stop to think of it, you actually have only 4 lives instead of 5.
Every human has 1 life and when that's gone you die. Having 0 lives would mean you are a zombie.

the 2nd achievement isnt workin for me. first time i got 138 kills and died and it didnt work. second time i got 100 even and it still didnt work.

Nice slash n'stab game.
Please survival mode needs a pause option: it would be a kind attention for senior players if game developers care about game ergonomy too. My Achilles survived >100 ennemies (about 30 minutes) but my tendons didn't ;-(
Surprise: a decapitated man can throw his spear, shoot an arrow or finish his swing. . .
Ideas: Chariots and cavalry would be great.

Needs a zero-th life. Seems a convention in most games, that when you have 1 life left, and you die, you still have one more shot at it. Rather than a GAME OVER.
