this game SERIOUSLY needs a seperate button fo throwing the spear. I feel like i dont control it and he just throws it whenever he wants

i like the game, has good animation with the decapitations and the spear... but, i feel kind of helpless with the bosses... always lose once before i kill them! :(

lol i impaled 2 guys with spears and they both fell forward on it next to eachother, forming an X =P and their heads were together

I agree with LoXie, With some improvements, this could get a good game. Right now it seems rather boring and repetitive.

I loved this ... Decapitating someone has to be a laugh.. Just take it for what it is.. A fun romp with blood and guts.

Honestly, I think that there is a very good game hidden in here somewhere, if only the time was spent fixing its glaring weaknesses. Perhaps this will be a great learning experience and will provide enough constructive criticism that the author can improve and maybe even put out a sequel or updated version, because even though it hangs and the Level 2 Stage 3 boss only shows up every other load, not to mention the control response is...well...akin to elderly people making love. Very slow. Good effort, it's just too bad that it didn't translate as well as it could have.

great game, the fighting looks original and authentic, and it feels good to throw a spear and completely empale someone

Having a way to drop the spear would be nice, aside from throwing it. Many times I wanted to throw it and use the sword and I could not.

I also encountered the level 2 stage 3 boss bug. Sometimes he shows up and sometimes he doesn't.
Honestly though, the controls need fixing. The bosses are annoying because they're constantly trying to get in your face and overlap with you, making your offensive weapons useless, but then they just deliver like 10 kicks in a row.

"And stolen art from a book cover? Bad."
I think you mean stolen art from a vase painted over 2000 years ago. Major copyright infringement alert!

yeah it's really annoying when those kicks just keep coming and there's absolutely nothing you can do. I stopped playing after 3:3 so I don't know if it continued but that bosses' kicks were really annoying (plus he kept getting so close that he was on top of you). I agree with LoXie that response time is big in games and it was slow here. The controls were also really monotonous and limited. Although you made different animations for things like stepping backwards and jabbing with the spear vs. standing still and jabbing, the effect was basically the exact same, which got boring. Also... the jump move's cool looking but you can't really hit people with it...

I dont think that People would be kicking in reality, sorry but that is just stupid. Their feet would really hurt after kicking an armor XD

Nice game to play and the last stage is good and hard. 1. The out of screen arrow needs to be removed. 2. The moves are all random more or less. Make it combos like -> slash for a poke and -> -> slash for a headswipe etc. 3. Enemies shouldn't spam their kicks like that :( 3.5/4

a fun game kinda, but lack of options, and clunky controls made me frustrated. Is blocking intentionally slow? Did you want me to be hit in succession from full to no life by two guys? Also its annoying when i hit space for the menu and people keep hitting me.

I really wanted to like this game, mostly because of the subject matter and the fact that I love Greek Military mythologies and histories. First off, I AM impressed with the concept and the game idea behind it. Yes, it's not original, but c'mon...who doesn't want to whip butt as Achilles? The graphics were crisp and clean, although the animations could definitely use some work. The controls were simple, but slow to manifest itself in character action. (Something the author might want to take to heart, control response is a must have for any action game.) The sound and music were great...especially the fight music from Troy. What was up with the stage two boss? I defeated all the soldiers in front of him, then spent ten minutes walking without him showing up! Overall? 3 of 5.

I -decrapitated- decapitated some poor guy but I guess it was mid-kick and he kicked the living hell out of me and I couldn't get him to die.
