Even without multiplayer, this remains one of my favorite games on Kongregate because of the vast variety possible. I'll be interested to see what Ben comes up with for the next version. It would be interesting if there were "escort," "station defense" and "station assault" mission types. Maybe missions where you engage in pitched AI battles (a dozen small ships fighting on both sides, pre-established minefields, AI dreadnoughts fighting each other, etc), or more utilitarian missions where you're tasked to protect mining vessels from enemy raiders while they work, or to see freighters through dangerous territory. Maybe there could be sectors where you're flying close to a star that damages you if you get too close, or you have to avoid crashing into planets and asteroids.

This game is AWESOME. I use to play it around the christmas holidays, because i was to lazy to go for a swim, tired of the x box and i had no school (ePiC), so this game entertained me for weeks non stop, and i still can't get over this game, it's just such a shame that the hackers ruined it for all of us, but still a great game, i wish one day, that someone brings out a different, or the same version that has multiplayed.

Hey guys, I just figured out a great strategy to save your lives and get lots of kills. Well, not exactly a strategy its sort of cheating. Go to a sector with a high threat rating, and attack all enemies that you see. You may lose many lives, but that doesn't matter. Keep killing, and when you have 1 life, refresh the page, then login. You will see that your kills are still there, but your lives are the same as the last time you logged out. Good luck getting the Hydra Destroyer/Enforcer!

some type of shield upgrade would be great... that and a turn rate bonus... its pretty poor comparitively to similar space games, but easy enough that I can't help to do more and more missions to upgrade to new ships. Clever, but time consuming :-p

A good idea for an update or the sequel make the mission screne optional: So you choose how difficult you want the mission to be and have diffrent section for it e.g. 100 - 500 points 600 - 1000 1100 -2500 points etc. So how much you get paid per mission as scrolling through the quest menu takes so long to find a high value mission

If hackers are ruining everything why dont u fight fire with fire or in this case hack with hack, teach'em a lesson....just a thought dont have to if u dont want to.

Everybody whos talking about multiplayer, your not gonna get it back. The creator hasnt updated the game description in years. that means he/she doesnt even look at the game anymore and he/she isnt gonna see your comments so just shut up about it and enjoy the game.

Holy goodness all the top five comments are about hackers and what they did. Btw, this game rules, and the multiplayer was great, till hackers ruined it. But why the $#@& are you guys STILL whining about MP?!?! It's been nearly an year since this happened, for God's sake!! Just stop whining, comments are there to tell the author whether people like his game or not. They're for opinions which everyone shows. So, FOR GOD'S SAKE STOP WHINING.

Okay, whiners. Ben Olding said that the game was taking too much of his own time, so he's moving on, to other things. He's NOT bringing MP back, no matter how much you whine.

Ben Olding owns/made this game for starters and its been hacked multiple times and he has stated that he can't keep supporting this game is all people do is hack SO STOP WHINING about mp as its not coming back and don't thumbs me down because u want it back

How to go at 40 speed: Get a Pegasus or a Sprinter, depending on race, and then get the Overclocked engine. if you press X you will go faster than Engine Overdrive. Good luck getting away from all of those stupid friggin enemys.

It just sucks that hackers rule this game, this way I can't get far enough to get the hard badge because it resets everytime I get kicked...
