Dammit, who is telling you noobs that humans got better ships and aliens have better weps? That person needs to be slapped. The only thing that makes human ships different is that they are smaller and just a bit harder to hit. The weps are pretty much equal too.

i get bored sometimes on this game wonder what is there to do next besides kill ships all the time. Only 103 kills :P seems forever to get even 801

i thought this game is not fair but i soon learn that humans are good at ships and aliens at weapons too bad there was no multiplayer :(

@ljlightfire: press "r" for a sector map. @agentflare: if you think sectors are too big for travel, use engine overdrive or just hyperspace.

I never noticed that making a difference in battle (2 year vet who used to have enforcer and hydra). I get your concept and have noticed it before, but when you rangefarm (the best method) it makes no difference at all.

Zero, the reason the human ships are "better" is their shape: as lukal said, their weird shapes cause splash weapons to "miss," while most alien ships are blocky with straight sides, which makes them perfect targets.

Bigbang is also completely wrong, there is no "best" ship or "best" race. Plus, the alien enforcer the the exact same thing as the human hydra.

@ThyElemental 1) You are completely wrong. The ships are almost exactly the same and each race has weps designed for every type of combat. 2) Don't believe everything you hear, I have heard that statement many times. Tell whoever told you that it is wrong.

ahh, but bigbang, i'm not sure if you played when there was MP, but hydras have very very little long range ability, which is the aliens' strong point.
They're very easy to take down with xand blaster/distrupter combos.
Of course, now that there's no mp you don't need to worry about anyone outsmarting you, so the point is moot.

to me aliens win humans have smaller ships (mostly) so they get hit less aliens have better weapons so they even out.

Alright with what type of people are better: there is none. Their balanced. Aliens have the better weps, humans have better ships....

I think alien because they are faster at running away and chasing down, but Humans have better weapons and have more vehicles.
