NO starsonata SUCKS i've tried it.... its terrible. and ive also tried astro empires, dark orbit, unification wars and they all suck. disputed galaxy is the best.

Jay, the ships are not designed and set depending on how better they seem to be. It's just placed like that, mid tier level ships are so close to each other that its almost negligible. Large ships are at most good at their kill ranks.
Lastly, all ships are balanced to the point that their strengths and weaknesses are well-defined and makes each ship unique, rather than basing it on ship stats alone, better include a person's preference and usability of something as well, each person has a different taste and style and should complement the different ships as well. Each ship caters a certain fighting style, the fun part is knowing what they are, how to improve strengths, cover weaknesses, and add the equipments and usual tactics to boot.

Great game but the ships seem unbalanced, like the minotaur, centaur and nymph ships. Minotaur you get at a higher rank but it doesn't seem better than nymph and centaur attack ship, very unbalanced slots, low shielding compared to the other two, low acc and manuv also! I think the game should organize the ships to their appropriate ranks better, anyways, 5/5, awesome game!
