Not only is "runesuck" (I like that...) unbalanced, It is also INCREDIBLY boring. Ooh, wow. I clicked on a tree. Now I'm watching a computer generated image chop at the tree. Now I'm watching pixels resembling tree logs appear in my "inventory". Now I'm clicking on the tree again. What fun.

I think that there should be a new weapon
1. a missile that fires a tracer and then lets out 4 damaging missiles that follow the tracer.
2. a weapon that fires straight and goes through everything doing damage.

Only Stinger/Carnivore advantage is the Stinger type 1 is stronger, other weapons seems or are better. I felt it quite well with turrets, Type 3 feels like close to 20, Type 1 is less than 20 (for carnivores on both accounts). I'm quite sure about this as well.
As for the Tking issues, I've given some anti-tking suggestions, harsh suggestions that though it will be hard for accidentals, but it's not like you will do it all the time. Bear in mind, I will not tolerate such behaviors, and WILL KILL DOWN ANY TKERS, until the suggestions I've put up will be within Ben's consideration

JCaesar is right. Besides the difference in the type 3 torps, the type 4 for aliens is almost certainly a hit without much travel time, while the type 4 for humans seems no different from type 2. I've even had stealth torps blocked by shield bubbles.

RE: Jcaesar: Well I be darned, the type 3 carnevore does do more damage than the human type 3 stinger. DJ, this is substantial proof that the difference is frank and unfair.
Maybe a change is in order?

Please forgive me for disagreeing with you, I in fact have gone and played around as an alien a few times, and before posting that I tested it extensively. Seeing as you doubt me, I've taken a video. I hit the human heavy drone twice, the first time was a glancing blow for 15 damage, the second time was a direct hit for 21 damage. then I logged into my human account and fired at a defender, clearly scoring a direct hit for 9 damage, before the turrets begin their own type 3 barrage moments later (I will note it takes them quite a few hits, as you may notice if you count the damage jumps--far more than would be needed if they did 20 damage, or even 15.) If they were in fact supposed to be the same, then one of them must be bugged. you might have created the game DJ, but the type 4 carnivore teleports, and the type 4 stinger is less visible, this is an HUGE difrence.
also, the defender has 230 shield and the nimph 200, this is an unfair advantage for aliens

JCaesar: Stringers and Carnivores are exactly the same as each other, the only difference is their appearance. Comments like this show that people always just think the other team has an unfair advantage. If you think that then try playing as the other team for a day

PWN: the plasma cannon is basically a concentrated burst of "laser". It also uses less energy. So, if you have a good handling ship (NYMPH) then using plasma cannon is effecient, but if you have a wide locking range but bad turning, go with the laser. Also fun is "plasma bombing", where you overdrive at the slow-moving target, fire off a plasma shot, and veer away. It's not particularly tactical, but definately fun.

I haven't noticed the damage change between the weapons but Positronic Converge Discs are good and aliens have the same weapon different name look around..

Well I dunno, I've seen (and used) plenty of weapons on both sides of the fray. I conclude that even though those weapons are different, its is the combinations that the ships use that make the difference in the long run.

Yeah... about those torps...
Our type 3's do 9 damage--you can't even kill a drone in one shot... aliens do what, 20? I cannot remember exactly, but the number is noticeably different.
On top of that, teleporting torps, with their near 100% probability of hitting home vs stealth torps... which look cool... but have very few instances when they would be useful... teleporting torps win, hands down. The other two variants seem roughly the same.

Definately about the Xandelivium blasters vs. Convergeance discs. The energy beam is annoying because a warship with a EEB and a laser would lose to a warship with an energy cell and a laser. (obviously this is hypothetical, these are both human) Plus, the carnivore torps seem to be much better than the stingers.

I believe humans are better because of certain weapon advantages they get. Energy extraction beam, Magnetic mines, and Positronic convergence disks, just to name a few. It just doesn't make sense to own a beam that uses 5% energy and gains 10%, and it takes 20 needle torpedoes to do the same effect that 1 magnetic mine does.

It seems a lot of people (Kyd, Dabaron, Grundish, etc) think that humans are much better than aliens. I'm not saying, they aren't, but I am genuinely curious why everyone thinks there is, as KingKyd put it, a "grand canyon-sized gap". I can't really tell THAT much difference.

Jman that would be really boring if both sides were exactly the same. However, if you cared to look, you would find out that each side has its equivalent of every ship on the other side. Nymph is practically the same as the defender, Raider- Chariot Fast Attack, Warship- Destroyer, Medusa- Oppressor (might have gotten that mixed up) etc. And, though many agree that the human side is stronger, I personally think that is psychological because of the many high-kill human accounts.

Something like an arena sector. It could even be used for gang warfare. It could keep score of who won between the two gangs.
