Ya know Caesar, the heavy mathematics are sometimes daunting to lesser minds. (not me, I understand) Maybe tone down that high level math to somewhat pure and simple English for the lesser minds to understand.

and darth its not a realistic game just a fantasy game. cause there is no friction in space so then why do we slow down? fantasy game.

xD nice comment omniscent
if there was just 2.0 threat sector it would just mean more hostiles so many seconds. why do you guys get all logical about it?....just means more hostiles end of that.(just as ffvii said) and u would have more fun
and im sure no one bothers to read a huge paragraph as ceasar types (cause i dont! Lol)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The only time it will become a 200% is if the current number has been doubled, and we are talking about probability of a yes and no, not by the numerical values of the hostiles coming.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
But then, when it comes to a whole value and no value, its between a 0 to 100%, no more no less. It's not like the aliens/humans double in numbers
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
no offense, but you look more like a fool trying to prove that you are right with that seriously long paragraph...no one cares if he said there was a 200% of rain. people say things like 1+1=11 or 5/4 people in the world don't know math...this isn't much different.
btw, in math, it is possible to reach over 100%. if you have not noticed, mixed fractions exist for a reason. btw, in math, it is possible to reach over 100%.
ask any middle/high school teacher and they'll tell you. or, just ask dr.math: http://mathforum.org/library/drmath/view/58085.html

Wow, so, we're arguing math? Sounds like some people believe that if they say its true, then that's sufficient 'proof'. Humorous. KingKyd, go do a little bit of research on percentages & probabilities, then come back and tell us if your opinion on the matter has changed.

The threat 1 probably means there is a 100% chance of an enemy spawn per measure of time (i.e. 100% chance an enemy spawning every 10 seconds). I guess the "higher threat" sectors that people want would involve a shorter spawn time (i.e. 5 seconds instead of 10).

Everyone knows 100% is the whole package. "percent" comes from our good friend, Latin: "Per" means "For every" and "Cent" means 100. 100 per 100, or 100/100 = 1. As with the rain example, you're saying that it makes sense that 200 out of 100 times, it will rain? I think not. Ask a grade-school teacher to explain percents to you, please, before you come on here pretending you know something you do not. You have just looked like a fool in front of everyone for telling me that "If there was a 200% chance of rain, thatd just mean theres more of a probability of rain." Cut your loses. As I understand it, a threat level of 1 indicates a 100% probability of enemies spawning (as opposed to the other option, allies) and this is exactly what experience shows you--I've never seen a single ally in a S-0-anything sector in the entire time I've played this game. In a similar way, it does not make sense for there to be a threat 2 for example, or a 200% chance of hostiles spawning.

well, if there was a threat 1 co op, you could expect more high ranked players to be there, right? well threat one normally contains about 6-10 hostiles, so threat 2 would have maybe 13 as an average.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm not quite sure what you mean by a threat higher than 1. A probability of, say 2, is like the weather man saying there's a 200% chance of showers--does that make any sense?

DiditzZz: "The worst glitch.. Try using a vortex bomb and get suck in ur own…"
That doesn't sound like a glitch to me. It makes a lot of sense if you think about it. If a weapon is deployed and you are in range of it's effect you will feel it's effect.
