Never really understood why peeps are so obsessed with multiplayer. Get a plasma relay, launch a few missiles, zap with the relay. One Dead Enemy. Wash, rinse and repeat. Got pretty boring pretty fast.

Funny moment, you're cruising along very fast, get knocked off course by an EMP missile and your husk of a ship still makes it to the next sector...just with no power.

My standard Conqueror/Eos combo (I miss multiplayer): EMP torpedo, LASS, arrive EMP blast, 6x Proximity blast, ruuuuuunnnn!!! Admiral class warships are hard to find now, though...

once you get something like pegasus shuttle with 2 pos con disks and lbss and the best snhanced engine. you should just not die. its so easy to get kills.

Does anyone know about any other games like this? I mean there is Star Trek Shattered something and that's pretty good by Vex Xiang but I'm really after a multi-player one of these =D

@Dimitrije2001: No it isn't. It's at 25+1, 2(25)+1, 2(2(25)+1, etc...so 26, 51, 101, 201, 401, 801, 1601, 3201, and then randomly 12801.

protip: the simple laser canon (space bar weapon) can serve as tracer ammunition for unguided weapons like javelins, to make sure you pointing in the right direction

the hyperspace charger engine allows you to use hyperspace unlimited. its howear requires 1 min to reset and charge when you use the hyperspace.

It would be nice to be able to not be required to trade in your ship, but I understand that any ship which you've left behind would stay at the old station.
Further, it would be the coolest thing ever if there were THREE parties warring for the universe, and if there were some way to capture sectors (with the mods balancing things, of course) and perhaps install stations.
Lastly, it would be nice if there were ways to earn a rank other than simply kills. Example: make a list of 10 things for promotion, and one must complete 7 of them; this would lead to less kill-farming and more creativity--"Kill a Destroyer with a Starfighter," etc.

To all of you who aren't decent enough to read, apparently some uber noobs hacked this game and now the multiplayer will be down permenently. All of the accounts were deleted in the process and he even said he will not be updating this game.

Someone needs to ask the developer if they can take own of the game so they can bring it multiplayer back again. It was soo good. Press +1 if you like my suggestion

Love dieing cause a "friendly" warship decided to drop a vortex bomb in the midst of like 5 other friendly ships and one enemy. I do like the game though

@shadendemon - For music, there is a mute in the options before you log in. For the sound effects, you’ll need them. Keep them on. The volume control can just be your computer’s master volume.

A very unique game with an amazing feel and atmosphere to it. Problems; you don't have very much health, it takes forever to get places and the biggest problem; the low maneuverability of the better ships makes Assassination missions very hard because you have to get very far away to be able to get any shots off. Otherwise you just circle around like an idiot not being able to hit anything.

S-11-6 is danger zone, there is huge black hole in that sector, just warning everyone to avoid that sector or fly at the sectors edges.

@lilkaz,friendly fire can be good and bad...depending on which side hit an ally. lets say there are 2 hostiles (1 like 3000 kilometers away and the other right up against you. that far away enemy fires a torpedo...any kind and the torpedo hits you...the enemy that's almost like in your face gets damaged in the explosion of the torpedo too.) so the enemy is (in a way) helping you destroy your enemy.
