Shirly's right except i did it by auto sending spearmen and upgrading spear training and increased armor.

only spamming swordsmen will get you killed actually only spamming 1 unit will get you killed. And hate to burst your bubble but Wood Elves in my opinion is the sorriest race in game. Even with the Rangers you won't win but I beat the game with them so don't talk crap about me besides Mages are more powerful and faster and rarely miss

Once I sent a giant troll out (with 3X armor) and 2spearmasters drop him and he was swinging even worse a king's guard and a swordsmen and a halberdier who wasn't swinging dropped him O_o

best tactic for me using demons or human alliance is like let's say send a king's guard out and spawn alot of swordsmen or a spearmaster with alot of spearmen cuz I been noticing when computers send one of these guys out they send weaker couterparts out with them.........and it works

a good plan is to chose night elves and buy upgrade spearmen,then attack Mylen and spam spearmen and/or archers.when you have enough money to buy mounted spearmen,get them,then buy in this order:
1:MH
2:mages
3:L-sword
4:and finally,the great and masterful whirler

Well I have to dissagree with the halberdiers. Mages are my favorite units since they are deadly at medium and long range. Its always good to have a same speed unit following them since they have little armor.

Follow the steps below to play the game easily . Remember , always start battling the Demons first.
1.Always start with the Human Alliance 2.Before you go to war for the first time buy a Halberdier 3.Then , earn enough money for a Mounted Halberdier 4.Earn enough money for a Mounted Spearman next 5.Next , a Mage 6.A King's Guard is last
7.At the starting , you may buy an Axeman instead of a Halberdier , but a Halberdier is best

i found that the halberd tech. with the undead is actually pretty good, but to be truely sucessful it needs mounted halberds every 4-6 halberd militia and scouts to sneak through when heavy units like trolls and twirlers come by (you'll want to stay out of the way of them)
