One of the things that I love about this game is the fact that it isn't a standard health bar. It is actually a game of tug-of-war between the two opposing sides. xD

PS:if you are elves,and see a huge line of mountain trolls,imediatly deploy your best archers and prepare a charge of archers/whirlers.This should keep those beasts at bay.After sending some of your man over the enemy line,you just have to fend off until the time runs out.That,my good sires,is a defensive strategy

whilers are epic but mountain trolls....i think i cry every time i see a line of those rush through the demons smacking them like it's baseball season :P

I used The Undead, and didn't even take advantage of the +3 Halberd, instead I just used the default, spear-men. Upgraded them, all the way through.

I know that Warlords 2 has come out, and everything has been upped...graphics, playing style, fun level...but this game still has that special something that makes me prefer it over the new version.

The undead,mountain trolls,human alliance, and the night elves are the best races because of their advantages and special units.

okay, why does the enemy get 3+ waves to send, and I get 1? Obviously they're going to win if they send an extra 30 horses

Here's The Unit scheme they have.
Calvery strong vs archers weak vs spearsmen | archers strong vs swordsmen weak vs calvery
Spears men strong vs calvery weak vs swordsmen | swords men strong vs spearmen weak vs archers | scout strong vs breaking enemy lines weak vs all | mage strong vs infantry units weak against mounted units| giant troll strong vs all weak vs none. (take note that haliberdier and spear are in the same catagory, and swordsmen, long swordsmen and axemen share a catagory.)

I was unimpressed. I'm amazed this game has such good reviews and so many plays. (I wonder if it counts plays the same way as other games.) Winning decisively and quickly gives you a low score. Being inefficient an faffing about until the timer runs out gives you the highest score. There is also virtually no strategy spam a cheap upgraded unit down a single column, when your guys stack up they can't be killed. You basically have a direct line to their life. However, as mentioned earlier winning the battle isn't good, you want to stalemate to get a high score.
