Oh yeah it's also annoying that you've got to aim not to win too quickly. And btw mages can even take out the elite units of a lot of sides even though they cost less

The autosend is a GREAT feature, takes away a dull part of the game ("hold down space bar forever"). The archer nerf was needed, too, although clearly it was a bit too much - perhaps you should make them a little faster to produce now as well? Only thing still "wrong" with this game is that the whole issue of how much money you earn per level is screwed - you get penalised for doing well, and there's no feedback for HOW much you earned or WHY you earned it (that would help enormously). Still a great game, though.

Needs balance. Some things are worth a lot more in terms of strength and usability than others.
It's probably because I suck but I just can't get anything to kill mages except horses.

ponyman1, there is a button for player 2's charge. It's the 0 button next to the arrow keys, and I think you have to have numlock on. Or maybe not. Try both ways.

The patch were released due unbalanced characters, more patches will problably release, those that said "archers" were their main defense/offense really need to quit play these kind of games.

The game's great, but could you make a button for player 2's charge, there isn't a button, well if there is it doesn't work.

After having lost the last level several times, trying various more or less clever tactics, I turned on autosend, selected a row, and kept on sending my swordsmen... I sat and watched the game play it itself, and won without any effort. :( I could have left the computer, if not for the fact that I had to press 'q' once I had earned a charge. Sad that this is the winning strategy in an otherwise great game.

man that patch sucks. i mean archers were my main defense against everything. now they suck. they keep moving. i want them to stand still!

My armor and weapon upgraded demon spearmen with their innate bonus died in 2 hits, the 130 armor uber-spearmen could maybe take out one unit after the patch. Whereas their human swordsmen wouldn't die if I threw 7 units at it.
I went through all the races and I have to wonder why the mountain trolls have a 500 dmg unit and none of the other races have a comparable unit? I guess I will have to play as mountain trolls again.

The easiest way to beat it is just to avoid the enemy, I chose night elves and I rushed with scouts. It worked like a charm, send scouts on the lines without men, scouts take the 2nd fastest to build but they have the fastest movement speed

Forget the people who are whining about how hard/easy it is -- there are some basic flaws: There is nothing lost by losing a battle. It just gives free points. So you cannot lose. You always win if you play long enough, no matter how you play. And then you open a race that makes it even easier? And the high scores basically show who played the worst - the real high score would be who won with the LEAST points scored.

I've found that trolls are unstopable if you charge with them. No matter how many the get across, sending in the trolls and then spaming spears behind them will give you 1/4th of the bar per charge. Youll get about 15 kills during the charge and so you need only kill about 5 more units before you launch the trolls again. Even against the demons I only had to do this three times to win.

Basically just upgrade your armor and spear, and build only spear men.
Playing the night elves and using the whirlers worked pretty well for me too. A whirler can take down just about anything. And if you send a few upgraded spear men behind them you'll plow right through the enemy.

Seriously though people, for those of you with archer-heavy builds that don't work so well anymore, just switch to mages. They still get benefits from the Marksman upgrade.

This game is awesome but I never get enough money. I get more money when I loose then I do when I win. Whats up eith that?
