It's alright, pretty entertaining. I don't particularly like the graphics or interface, and its a bit repetitive but it's ok - I don't quite get the hype tbh, maybe I'm just getting old -_-

good game probibly my favourite on kongregate only comlaint needs to be a bit more practicle like if i send a charge of my spearmen at a charge of the enemies swordsmen half of my guys will win some of theirs will and some will just kill each other and leave nobody

jdawg, the best way of beating it is whenever your stuck, just battle for the purpose of killing and you will get money. this is time consuming but effective

Denton the aim is to get your soldiers into enemy territory whilst defending your own which seems pretty logical to me

Let me get this straight.
The best way to beat the game is to not crush your opponent with minimal losses , as I suppose one would want to do in a battle field. But rather to kill as many of the opposing force with all the available time.
Seems like a critical flaw in design logic to me eh?

Cute little game :)
Easily finished with Men of the West, and I didn't feel the need to employ more than 3 different units: Swordsman, Archer, Mounted Spearman.
A couple speed and armor boosts along with 3 unit-specific upgrades worked wonders.
Graphics: 2/5
Sound: 3/5
Gaming Fun: 3/5
Overall: 2,66 / 5

Jestertrek: I thought money for levels was random, too, until I figured out that it is directly related to # of kills and nothing more. I don't think you get anything for sending a guy through, but you get $5 for each kill (I think -- too lazy to test this again). Strangely, this does not really reward you for winning, but for killing, so in the early game it's best to rack up kills rather than slip guys past the defenses, as I did.
