It's OK. But some things are really poorly balanced.
I went through the battles fairly fast. Thus not many kills, thus few upgrades. And when it came to 90%+ difficulty one enemy soldier could easily kill up to 3-5 of mine.

forset elves, buy mage and ranger, alternate spamming between them, marksmanship with all money after that

men of the west pwn all. Simply turn auto send on and pick swordsmen. Occasionally you;ll need strategy, and you might need scouts to beat the mountain trolls.

when you pick the undead and select the undead and go to the demons they kill you fr one hit what is that?????!!!!!

(do charge)
get 1600 dollars and buy flailer
then buy mounted halberdier for 1100 then use mounted halberdier for quick
regaining in loss and flailer for trying to win

Ive played this on addicting games..this is a really enjoyable game to play but i cant reallly find the "best" race or "close" to best
