If you've played gladiator mode, kkabc, you know that this is not true. There are plenty of enemies which are a lot quicker than you and kick you and attack you before you could do anything with Toldor. That's why Aldon is a lot better with his block-during-move thing.

Why don't these guys jump until half an hour after I pressed the up-key? "
You must have a slow computer. Mine works just fine.

In my style, the easiest is Prince Aldon and he -also- looks like a fighter. No other character can block while moving, and this gives Aldon the biggest advantage.

This game is just a lie...you're not supposed to finish it, just see how far you come before you bash your computer in pieces!!!!!!½

What is incredibly annoying about this game is when you are "on the same spot" as an opponent, and your hero doesn't know which direction to face or attack.

Pursit, it is possible with Toldor, I wrote how to each enemy in the forum topic "Gladiator Guide" (or something like that). I think, though, Aldon is the best with his block-during-move modes, and he can often damage even more than Toldor and much faster.

Couldn't even finish one episode. Too monotonous. Very few upgrades, very little variety of enemies. Felt like i was stuck in Streets of Rage meets Tom and Jerry cuz of the backgrounds

I think my favorite thing about this game is how fair it is. I mean, mounted spearmen? Who wouldn't want an enemy that attacks all day and stomps right on past you? And sorcerers are just fantastic - teleporting whenever they want and raining down firey death! Just real great innovations. 1/5.

Gah, the gladiator mode wouldn't be that bad if the enemies didn't deal twice as much damage as you can. But the game is total genius. 5/5

Addition to this: There are some enemies what will kick you after you attack them after kick, these may need other tactics.

To impossible badge (gladiator mode): For a lot of enemies, there is a great tactics: Get close to it (the most difficult part, the second part need only concentration and quickness), then kick it until it get its knee dislocated. Then hit it, and kick it instantly, again until it gets it. Do it constantly and you'll rarely get a hit, but you'll damage it slowly, but you will certainly win.

About the three characters (which is the best):
Ellder: Average damage, excellent quickness and range
Aldon: Good damage, short range, good speed
Toldor: Excellent damage, average range, very slow
I believe that Ellder is the ideal choice for beginners, as he can keep almost any attackers at a distance, keeping them from attacking, with long reaching, quick attacks. Aldon is the best, however, counting his unique ability of being able to block during moving (if we choose the right skills, however I prefer jumping thrust more than shield charge), and Toldor is a bad choice as very slow and is unable to even fight against a fast enemy like Elite Halberdier, High Court Guardian or Possessed Royal Guardian.
