Well, I've seen some zoos in Thailand feed bison a pile of bananas, so prickly melons (durian?) for elephants doesn't seem so strange to me.

how do i visit random islands? I sometimes see other players visit my island and help but I have no idea how to go to their islands to help back.

if game doesn't work press on right side change from game tab to achivments, seems therees second game inputed into code by mistake or some weird shenanigans :)

I think the disco event was the last time I tried one of the events. They used to be challenging but achievable, but now I spent so much extra energy on it and still only made it half way through.

@tobybob @bakkart There was some sort of bug in the programming that could not be fixed. That why there's neither confirmation nor final reward for finding all the bunnies on Maze Island this time.

i personally don't mind resource-draining events that are only useful to the biggest players interested in flexing. that sort of thing helps to even things out between newer and more established players, and between free players and whales. i don't particularly like that you have to wait for other players to rush through the event, then read through the wiki, to find out what kind of event you're dealing with. some transparency would be nice. in the past, at least we'd get some News saying "this is what the prize does" or "this event is HARD. don't bother if you don't have a ton of resources and energy items stockpiled"

What is with all the high energy cost events? I moving along on disco when I finally unlock the jukebox. 170 energy per build with gathering and crafting and they want me to build 5 after the couches and clay sheds simply for a rep boosting ball? Am I missing something here?

I've been on the island for at least two days and I'm not going to finish in time. I'm getting sick of this. It's not fun. I'm just wasting my time.

Since I skipped the last event I decided to clean up my northern island area only to discover you can't store any of the ancient walkways or walls. So unless I'm willing to sell everything for space it's a waste of resources to fix any of it.

@yogie320, you get spice packs from the Mask collection, which you can only complete after being able to craft Machetes, which are unlocked after finishing the Bridge. The mask from machetes is also a very rare reward, so you have less than 10% to get one each time. Be prepared to have to make anywhere between 30-100+ machetes to get enough masks.

I feel your pain. I've never been able to switch tabs (or anything like that) without the game "pausing." I'd love to be able to do planting, feeding, etc. while doing other things.

I used to be able to switch tabs and my avatar would continue its tasks. Since yesterday that is not the case anymore. That's a huge setback. I am not interested in watching how 50 fields are being seeded or such like.

@silver ty. The camel thorns on desert island drop them. Saves me the energy and coin for planting and buying thorn bushes.

@dragon91, thorns can also be found from lucky events from helping friends, and small stones. Can't remember if there are any others, sorry. @thecouliche, the "Sell" button has been moved to the bottom left of the selling dialogue box.

I've never purposely farmed for thorny twigs for nails. They just piled up over events and such. Is there any other option besides planting thorn bushes?

After spending 2000 woods, I got my 3 spice packs (in fact the first cannibal mask seem to have provided me with a first spice pack as well as with the fountain). I now have 1500 machetes in stock...

Actually, the Wiki tells how to get the spice packs (as it was pointed by previous commenters), but after wasting 1000 woods I got only one mask (and would need 3 more to complete the goal and task). And I have very little use for machetes.
