Anyone understand the "Fixing lanterns" quest in the event? I didn't understand what gardening to get elf tools or completing beast quests to get mittens means. The wiki only says to collect the things on my island.

First mission and already stuck -- can't find the 9th small spruce, and I'm not yet able to buy one in the store to plant ....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Palzmann, stick-insects are found by chopping tall palms on your islands, not friends.
Shakers are collected by building beach chairs mahogany armchairs, volcano rock chair or from the collector's package.

I don't have time to help all my friends everyday and I always try to avoid their animals to get sick feeding the ones who take a shorter time to get sick, like chickens.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Guys, always try to avoid your animals to get sick and your plant to whiter, 1 pack of medicine or plant reviver is 1 silver coin and many times I see my friends with many of sick animals and whitered plants. That make me wonder if the person is still playing the game.

Just for conversation's sake, I was wondering about the odds of a gold chest in the Mysterious Cave. If I've figured this correctly, there are 39 possible paths to take -- (1+3+9)*3. If that's right, does that mean I have a 1/39 chance of a gold chest, or is there more than one possible gold chest?
Also, any preferences for going through the cave? I've been using left-left-left, center-center-center, and right-right-right, and usually getting at least one silver chest that way, often two.

Got caught by the same trap. But in a way this stone blossom upgrade works more like a downgrade. Makes it much more expensive to help for visitors and has hardly an advantage for the owner.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you need a Stoneplant blossom to fully upgrade the Mother Nature statue; why does the recipe disappear after completing the previous level (or is this done on purpose to force people into spending rubies) ?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The most evil part of this game is that they make a pop up screen that puts "buy with rubies" exactly where you click. Nobody would willingly buy with rubies what they can buy cheaper elsewhere, so there's no practical reason to offer that. It's like it's designed specifically to deprive people of rubies in a way that's can be blamed on them.

Re: my previous comment: you have to pay those tomatoes to get the achievement, so I probably actually ran out. I'd delete my other comment if that were possible.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I had at least 3000 tomatoes (got the Ironman achievement recently), and while planting a field (6x6) of tomatoes, they all disappeared from my backpack.

They are not on the wiki. The reason was, we thought competition island would be more competitive this way. I will start a poll to see what people think now

Where can I find the solution for the riddles of the rainbow sheep on competition island? I searched the wiki but there was nothing to find.

Currently working on palace and going broke with truffles, torches and buy/sell # of items. Any tips on money making? Currently using gem mine hoping for gems to sell.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yes, rubies are lost and best spent before the end. Their best use depends on the type of competition. Do you buy decor for their reputation, do you buy something that you can sell for more shells, etc. I will say though that early on you will get a quest called Fruit Trees. Money will be tight at this point but you will have enough rubies to buy the necessary trees. I recommend using the rubies you have at this point.

Thanks Cresswga. What about the rubies I gain on competition island? Are they lost when the competition is completed? If that´s the case hoe to use themwith the best effect?

Competition Island is like a speed run of a new game. You start on a new island and nothing carries over. There is plenty of time to fulfill the main objective but if you care about doing well then write down each quest and its requirements as you go and it will make it quicker for you when you come back the next time because you will know what things to plant in advance or which animals to start raising.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Palzmann, you should do each one at least once, because the reward lets you do essential upgrades on your home island.

After completing the ship, I can start the competition island. Which competition (super rich, reputation or experience) is the best to choose?

a friend introduced me to this, it reminds me a lot of the games I used to play on facebook back the day. The events are manageable and not too time consuming. Still finding my way around, but having fun so far. If you are in need of neighbors, I'll be happy to help where I can.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
When I first started playing the events were manageable by logging in once or maybe twice a day. Now it seems like I need to either use a lot of energy resources, or log in 4 or 5 times a day. I have a full-time job. I can't do that. Never being able to complete these missions is a real turn-off. Can we please have an easy one next time?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If it helps at all, once you complete the guestbook quest (or maybe it's another quest?) one reward is 13 bags of fodder. Doesn't help on the front end, but maybe accelerating a few sheep might help you out in the next few days?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I generally love events for the novelty and rewards, but dislike that for most of them, the main challenge is to 1) parse the cryptic quest descriptions and 2) finding the right pixel to click around a sprite and activate the object behind it. This event, while visually very fun, is particularly egregious on that second point.
An idle farm game shouldn't require more pinpoint precision than an FPS or bullet hell.

Sorry for all the messages here, but I found the missing three flowers (they were hiding behind some of my planted pumpkin monsters). Now you can carry on with your day ....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
bakkart they may be in there chain form but that should show up as ##/33. Like the birch trees they will reset daily, so if still in doubt wait a day.

Event Question -- For one of the final quests, you have to "Have 33 Toothy flower roots on The Spooky Rose Garden." However, I count only 30 such plants. Before I sink all that energy and planks into this quest, are there 3 hidden plants somewhere, or perhaps it all works out somehow?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@xAllegrax, the birch trees and Flower Fangs reset daily, the goat is what the well turned into after you use it for the 1st time, and the goat needs to be fed 99 times for a quest. use https://oceania-game.fandom.com/wiki/Spooky_Rose_Garden for more help.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I can't finish "the barbed curse" because there are no flower fangs. If rose bushes are needed, I removed them all on the first day for the previous quest, so there are none left. What do I need to do? Btw on first day I saw a goat which I can't see anymore. I would've asked the devs, but they never replied to any of my emails. If this can't be solved, I can't continue with the event.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've noticed in the last few events, they're expecting you to plant specific kinds of things from the store menu. At least these stubborn plants are listed under "plants"; there was an event not too long ago where the needed plant was in "Sale" for some reason.
