I'd like to point out, when visiting a friends island, thing lined in YELLOW have already been taken care of. So animals, crops and harvestable trees/bushes dont need to be harvested/fed more than once. Trees, bushes/stones, and wells/mines on the other hand will give resources multiple times.

Crops/animals timers need to be rebalanced. Am I expected to wake up in the middle of the night to feed my pigs so I won't lose them in the morning?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For friends who dont have the food (or are not willing to spare any) to feed animals, and when there aren't any crops to collect. It would be much appreciated to have a few stones or trees that we can always access that aren't necessarily in the way of your decorating.

bug? decide? while digging, i can't collect the star and items, whilst losing the EXP bonus.
also, the game doesn't work well on samsung notepad, i cant click on friends help, nor collect items and star for bonus

just a reminder (or two or three). You CAN buy sugar and salt for shells, and not needing rubies for them. The cooking./crafting book is only listing the ruby price, but if you open the shop under specials, they are available for shells as well. Don't forget to FRIEND people outside of kong to add them to your list of people to visit/gift (You added me already, RIGHT ??). and if you want more tips, joins us in the discord: https://discord.gg/BVQ74tU7

@junior555 If you cant see your friends ingame after you added them to your friendlist outside the game try this: Hover your mouse over the cogwheel in the upper right corner of the screen outside the game, its next to your name, blocks and the mail icon and click "settings". Go to "edit profile" and uncheck all the three boxes next to visibility and click save changes. I think only "make my profile private" is the problem but im not sure i have only tested it quickly with a second account and this fixed the problem.

Junior -- if you weren't suffering from you might have more friends. :) Sorry ... seriously, though, the friend addition can be a bit wonky sometimes.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@junior555 try adding someone as a friend randomly sometimes it bugs and wont show until you added someone else also if you haven't already refresh. This usually works for me. Hope it helps ^^

still can't figure out how to populate my friends list. Added them. They added me. I've sent out invites, they sent them back. Still nothing.

Would be nice to have a history of visitors? I keep accepting help, and forgetting who had helped before I've had the chance to add them and reciprocate. Even a relatively small list; 15/20 actions would be great, or even better - the last 5 actions from strangers.

EVERYONE! Please remember to FRIEND people on KONG (outside of oceania) so they appear on your in-game list of places to visit. Like with NPC Paprick, you can do 5 actions DAILY on each friends islands. that can add up to 10 - 20 XP for each friend daily or more if you feed animals, plus some drops only happen on FRIENDS islands, like spices for crops harvest, and a lot of COLLECTIBLES are only droping on FRIEND's islands like the whole Animal or gifts of nature collection. After reaching level 16 you can send a FREE gift to each of your friends daily. This gift could be things like shells and food, or a plank or clay brick or other items. It all isn't much for 1 friend, but if you have 20 friends, you can make about 300 XP extra daily, plus sending 20 free gifts. if all of them visit your island back they can do 100 actions on your island that YOU don't have to use energy for, and you might get 20 daily gifts that might be worth 100 shells and 60 food, all free.

@hateyou100scout You are very right! It's in freesound.org so it's copyright free. I would have never guessed that such a popular game as minecraft has taken its sound effects from the web. Sorry Oceania! It's a great game... thanks for giving me some historical background about its latvian past and present

@dimitris32
This game released before Minecraft full release 1.0 :)
And plus, these are copyright free sounds
As an FYI to those who are just finding out about this game - this is a game from 2011 for Latvian social media site "Draugiem.lv", where it was incredibly popular. It's incredible to see it fully translated & released in English in 2023 :)

So I had 4 friends prior to starting this game that later joined, and they are on my friend list on the bottom of the game. I have since added 5 more friends that currently play, but they won't show up on the list at all. I've added them outside the game, and on the island + feature. Only my original friends show up on the game.

TIP: When visiting a friend, things outlined in YELLOW/GOLD have already been taken care of by other friends. No need to do something someone else has already done. This will maximize the help everyone gets. Only thing that may not matter is cuttable trees.

The watermelon should give at least 1 seed to plant a new one because its a friend gift but it only gives 10 food and takes 1 day to grow

I think it would be a nice idea to be able to put items back in storage, instead of having to sell them. Like being able to store some fences, or path, or building, or seasonal decoration back into your storage/backpack.

@Pjobooklover: best crop for food? that is a difficult question to answer. depends on what you are looking for. It depends, are you in a hurry, so is TIME the most important factor ? is spending real money possible ? is the amount of shells it cost important (many cooking recipes need salt or sugar or yeast), is energy important ? for most food you have to dig a field first, then plant crop, and then later on harvest it. do you rely on harvesting yourself, or do you rely on friends harvesting for you. So yeah, all those answer define what the BEST food for you is. Sorry for being so evasive. I like beans (as they have a long time for friends to harvest) and the cooking is pretty ok for them

@craiden like every bush/tree/crop, you FIRST need to dig a field (use the shovel icon in the right bottom labeled SPADE, and select a place to dig)

@Pjobooklover if I remember correctly, you have to visit Paprick's island, open the quest and then press to provide water.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So, ive had a quest for awhile, learning how to use the well. One of the requirements is providing water to Paprick, 20 units. And while it says 20/20 its not technically finished? Ive gone to his island and gathered water for him thinking it would finish it, but it is still unfinished. What do I do?
It depends which palm, but the simplest answer would be "few days". It will always grow up from the shop. There may be special islands/events when already existing palms don't grow up.

here are a TWO bits of wisdom: a) you can get bonus XPs if you move over the drops from your actions within a short time period, if you manage to move over 5 items before they disappear you get 2 extra XP, for a combination of 13 items you get another 10 extra XP, and if you get 23 items in a row, you get another 15 extra XP.so if you are placing 12 fields to plant food, that would be a guaranteed 24 drops, and you could earn an extra 27 XP from that
b) the path are increasing your walking speed, the higher quality the faster you can run on them, so they are not just for decoration or reputation (especially if the island gets bigger this becomes important)

@Pjobooklover: My Crystal Ball tells me that it will later in the game needed for multiple things. I could imagine things like fountains, sprinklers, creating ice, building an aquarium/pond, maybe even to extinguish fires or some kind of machinery.
