Newbie here, mostly easy but some features could use more explanation. Like how do you get food? Which crop? How much? Wheat, corn, tomatoes, beans, growing and harvesting doesn't add anything. Anyone know the trick to this?

Just found it... glitter can be received in the Collections (New Year). Is there another quest after finishing the one with the "Ice Castle" ?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you have done the ice castle on Festival Island, you can sell it for 8 choco strawberries. And Cut the spruce at the landing point, next to the gnome - it gives some nice stuff.

When visiting other peoples islands, only around 15 other helping peoples actions will be shown to the visitor. so if there's plenty people someone might miss the yellow glow on crops even though they were harvested. ...in addition to that some people think it's more efficient to go for spice then anything else...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@bakkart: Twenty people crowded around the same five crop squares is a little bit more than "mistakes". Whenever I go to other peoples' islands, I see yellow auras all over the place and the person's avatar standing right next to the first thing they did. So if your avatar is standing in the exact same place as someone else, I know for a fact that at least one of you went "Screw you! You can't tell me what to do -- I'm a big boy now!" And no, I will NOT ever accept that people have no control over whether or not they are trolls.

Terastas -- I understand your irritation, but you need to chill out a bit. People make mistakes, people forget, people might not have other options. It's not fun losing prime efficiency, but on the other hand, is it worth complaining about something that probably won't change?

Just a heads up (after figuratively banging my head against the wall for a long time), you get more party drinks in this Chaos Festival by raising and selling those silly Tiliki animals.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You can block off crops when you are away to stop double harvests. Its the only guaranteed way to prevent it. You could block the part of the island at the baobabs, or at the swamp or bridge for example.
For claiming crafting rewards, wait to open the crafting menu again until the save icon on top right disappears ;)

@Naud1234 For me I just claim the gifts, sell some stuff, place reputation items I need, and get off. Theres barely any fun.

Is anyone actually truly having fun with this game or is everyone just going through the motions? Nothing about this game is particularly exciting to me. It's just a bunch of boring tasks.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@4nehcemaj4 there is no cap. whenever you level up, you loose half the energy you had (rounded down). you may not notice when you have only 5 energy left, but even then you only get max+3 instead of max+5.
when you can cash in rock collections after building claypit, it's a bit easier to time level ups by buying wise owl/shipswheel/sandglass/cocktail table
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Terastas you do know that if you plant the same crop in the same place you can use those overlapping neighbors, that's what I do
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I am no longer growing carrots on my island because of the sheer number of players who insist on "helping" by harvesting carrots that already have the yellow aura and another player's avatar standing right next to them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@bakkart More like they looked at all of their top ranked players (who, more often than not, paid to get there) as if that was standard and designed the event to be "challenging" (IE: squeeze more money out) of them, heedless of, or just apathetic to, the fact that it would completely shut out everyone else.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@junior: aloes drop med packs collectables, not medipacks. they look similar and name similar, but the dropped item is only a collectable for the traveler collection
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This event does kind of seem like the developers are testing how disorganized and chaotic they can make something and still have people participate.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Up to this stage, This event is boringand repetitive, the "resources" are all over the place, i have to check the collection all the time to keep track of what am i missing. The resources dont grow at the same spot with a standard amount, so i cant just go to a area and harvest 6 of them then go to another area to harvest 6 of it to keep track....and some items doesn't have the logo for what resources it has, very poor design
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ok, so this event start with waiting for the bubbles on the F island, max 2 at the same time i guess. Then we will also need some raddish to buy that thing, but the quest didnt specify it needs to be a fully grown .... They have the same name, okay?! After collecting 9 different pieces without the clear logo on top of every thing(some do some dont), we build that castle. And then we need 3 missions with 3 different decorations, which each needs 3 currency, which takes the 9 different things to trade in "collection" 8 of them cost 1 energy by harvest the 8 different things on the island, the cocktail is not shown anywhere but is obtained by growing that animal and sell its grown up(fed it every 15 minutes for 3 times will give u 3 cocktails. ) So 9 energy for 9 collection, x3, 10, that is 270 energy for 1 mission, we have 3 of them, so 810 energy. 5minutes to regen 1 energy, so 4050minutes, 67.5hours, which is only 2.8125 days, totally doable within the time limit, right?!

@Terastas One more tip - if your animal is sick, just wait till your friends help hungry animals of the same type, switch the helped and the sick animals, accept help and it will be both cured and fed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
SuperDos - it is not an in-game thing. You need to create your own image and then go into your Kong profile and change it there.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Everyone, there are two things you need to know about sick animals. #1: If somebody helped out by feeding them but they were sick by the time you were able to get back on again, accepting the help will remove the sickness. And #2: Sick animals can be sold. It'll be at a financial loss, but med kits are not easy to come by in this game, so unless it's something irreplaceable(?) like the lion or penguin, nobody's going to spend one for you, and taking that loss is a lot better than having an island full of sick animals that make everyone think you've quit the game so they only "help" with the big rocks when they visit you.

Thank you all for the replies. I am starting with just growing some wallabies. I don't often see windmills that I can harvest but I will definitely keep an eye out for those as I have plenty of wheat and oil.
@scribblejucie I do not know how I am supposed to gain reputation from half of the things that you mentioned. It seems like you copied a list from somewhere. If so, can you please provide the link for me so I can get more information?

Remember to check the specific mechanics and features of the game you're playing, as different games may have unique ways to earn reputation. Additionally, keep an eye on any updates or changes to the game that may introduce new reputation-earning opportunities.

I'm trying to make the Tool Box and I am going to need 600 more reputation to be able to finish it. I can't keep placing Wise Owls so what do people recommend for building a lot of reputation? Should I raise and sell 100 platypi or try to do Iron Man quests or is there something else I am overlooking?

The worst part about people doubling up on "yellow halo" tasks is that I don't even know which one of the two people who did the exact same thing is the idiot. I know some things can be done more than once (well, clay pit, etc.) so it shouldn't be straight-up prohibition from redundant clicking, but maybe consider something a little more visible and informative? Like a number that pops up when you highlight something showing how many other guests have already done it?
