The modern well is hidden behind the small island with 6 or 7 rubber trees in the north of the map (direction 12 o´clock ). You don´t need to build the smokehouse, it´s useless.

Is there any chance, in Simple Routine 3, that you could change "collect berries and mushrooms" to "SUBMIT" berries and mushrooms? I can't be the only one who collected them all right away because he needed room to put stuff, and they don't appear to be growing back in other places like they do on the main island. No quest should be impossible to complete just because you did something out of order, ESPECIALLY a supposedly "simple" route.

this event is goddamn awful. who thought it would be fun to make such little space and fill them full of crap that has to constantly be moved? devs, do you have no consideration for people who actually play your game? games are supposed to be fun, why would people keep playing if it's not?

In the new event you can save a lot of energy and resources by just moving various objects somewhere else on the map (for example toilets)

I think I did the quest first machetes. I can craft them. The machetes also show up in the shop, and I could buy them for rubies, but the part where I can spend food to buy them is grayed out. There is no lock symbol or anything.

@Yamamba as cresswga said, after repairing the bridge you should immediately receive a quest named "First machetes". Completing it should unlock machetes in the shop.

It has been a while since I finished the bridge but I think that a quest unlocks that you have to complete before you can buy machetes. Do you have a machete related quest? Can you craft them yet? They are under the "Other" section of the workshop.

I think one quick and easy improvement is the adding of "Esc" hotkey to the gift menu, if not all of the menus. It will allow us do gifting daily without constant moving the mouse back and forth, and would make it so much less of a pain. I mean, if there's not already a plan to improve the gifting mechanics, this is an easy alternative to implement. Or just make the animation faster really.

@mikefeith It is true that many people go only for spices, but there is another problem. When you visit an island, the game displays only 15 most recent helpers. If you have planted a lot of crops and people keep coming, the 17th only sees what #2-16 did, the 18th sees only what #3-17 did etc. And many people are not aware of that, so they just go for crops that look as unharvested to them thinking "oh, so many people and they didn't notice these pumpkins, I'm lucky!", which makes things worse. The game is old and developers are now busy with translating and implementing already existing content to the kong version, so I wouldn't expect them to fix it. All you can do to prevent the multiple harvesting of the same crops is either time your crops to ripe when you will be online or wall them off when you go offline for hours.

I think there needs to be a better reward for helping friends with other stuff. Now a lot of people really only go for spices, which means that out of 100 help tasks, sometimes 9 people just do the same 5 pumpkins because they are the only ones that reward spices.

@Palzmann: on kongregate it's not possible to get to that island. event islands always appear on the map, even for events only on the latvian server, like the winter cup right now.

figured it out. it didn't look like a path i could walk through, but clearing the stone around the lighthouse lets you walk around it

@dragon91 from memory you just need to click on them and you should auto walk to them.
Might need to make a path of roses near the "Rocks at the Shore" and there might be some grass, thorns and stones (tiny rocks) in between the rainbow roses and the light house.
Making a path of roses is just the stuff you have been doing on the event island and the other stuff is general clearing that you will have done on the main island.
But I did it a few days ago so not completely sure

how do you get tothe rainbow roses? MY path is block by rocks with no imf how to remove them. What do you do with all of the awakened flowers?

It's great to know about the valuable rewards like collecting wine from the sparkling fountain and utilizing the event sawmill for cheaper planks. I'll definitely make sure to gather all 10 gift baskets and the rainbow roses near the lighthouse. The hidden quests sound intriguing too—I'll be sure to check out the wiki site for more details.

@doom2noobs @Palzmann Melting remaining icicles is not worth the rewards. There are 2 things worth doing after completing the event: collecting wine from sparkling fountain (it's precious!) and using the event sawmill for cheap planks (costs 3 wood instead of usual 4). Also make sure you collected all 10 gift baskets and the rainbow roses near lighthouse. And last but not least, there are 2 hidden quests. Visit the wiki site for more info.

After collecting the rest of the icicles and more important the puddles there´s no reason for me to continue. I will save the energy for the next event.

@SuperDos gemstones you can safely sell, it's not hard to get more. Actually, selling the gemstones is for many the main shell income source. Pearls I don't remember, you may bette rsave them. Also some quests require you to submit unopened mussles, so better keep those too.
