**HERE'S AN IDEA** Rather than get gifts we don't want/need, how about putting an icon box in the Give Gift screen that we can put what we want/need and people can give us THAT gift?

One of those boring games with an energy system. At least you don't have to wait to earn the easy badge. You level up twice and because it resets the energy every level up, you have enough energy to get the easy badge without running out. I got the badge in under 8 minutes.

Game would be better without the energy limitation which drops the play time to 5-10 minutes and having to check back every couple of hours just to get more done.

@SkylerF If you don't like the genre, it doesn't make the game bad. I personally love this game, one of the best game with mixed farm, time management and adventure genres. Some complain about energy system, but I find it pretty convenient. It's just a resource that you can use, and games wouldn't be interesting if you had unlimited resources.

Friggin was seconds too late feeding my piglets because I overslept. Should I just eat my losses and sell them all while sick or is there some way to heal them without rubies if I wait it out?

@mystramisc thank you. I had paused the main quest with the rabbits as I thought it would require more time and lots of food. Your reply motivated me to continue and yes, you were right :) I got the well 2 main quests later :)

@xAllegrax not much of a trick, just make sure you do the MAIN quests, and you should be pretty quick getting the well and house build. technically you could even get the 160 rep badge very quick, if you use all the free rubies to buy just decoration with high rep. It would be a waste of the rubies, but it could be done

Yamamba: If you go to the store and look under Special then Salt can be bought for 2 shells and Sugar for 4 shells. Yeast is on the next page for 6 shells.

@agentflan later on you can buy those items with in-game-items, not only rubies. But you always have to read the harvest/feeding times and plan accordingly. Some animals/crops have very short times until they wither/get sick. so have to pay attention for that

Note that chickens and pigs will not keep overnight; if they go too long without being fed they cost at least 1/3 of a ruby to fix, which is about the worst thing to have to spend rubies on

A tip for people who want to play heavily monetized games like this without spending real money: figure out what the premium currency is (rubies, in this case) and avoid spending it on little things like temporary bonuses or timeskips until there's nothing better left to use it for. Those tiny expenditures add up, and you won't finish a game like this for a long time anyway (unless you spend a ridiculous amount of real money, that is). Don't fall for those offers to buy an item directly with a ruby when you can buy for shells in the shop, and don't be fooled by the game seeming to throw a lot of it at you when you're starting out; that'll almost certainly slow down later, and if you spent it like you were expecting that generosity to continue, you'll probably end up regretting it.

I haven't bought in game currency except for in like 3 games. A few of them due to the fact the 5v5 party you boost in grants bonuses to each of us. Another I stopped because some parts of League of Angels is nothing but p2w "peeing contests" I don't want to induldge in.

Kongregate was revived from the dead, only to start featuring poorly programmed games that purposefully lock the enjoyable parts of a game behind microtransactions. If this is the future of Kong, it should have stayed dead.

If you had to be logged in for that hour, I might get what you're saying. But this is an OPTIONAL pay in game and IDLE growth manager. It really ONLY brings more than its own self pushed expectations.

@Drakon_Lameth 1) This game doesn't suck your money and is pretty enjoyable for free, you just have an option to speedrun your progress for money. 2) Why are you bothered by the fact that this game got badges? 3) This game is 12 years old, it's just that it got released on this website recently ;)

I'm trying to figure out how this mobile-energy-system cash-sucking abomination ever held a high enough score long enough for badges to get authorized to be added to it after launch. Especially with the game only being about 2 and a half months old.

@TheRealPip You can buy salt in the shop's section Special - Spices for 2 shells. And you can dig a well soon as you progress with the main quests.

Wait a sec.... is the only way to get salt to make it from salt crystals? And the only way to get salt crystals is to get it from a friend via gifts? And the only way to get or give gifts is to be at level 16? If so, I am going to suggest that the pacing, rules, and goals of the game have to be rethought. -Pip

@alinfoper No, there are no quests needed. You are supposed to see your friends after you add them on Kongregate and restart the game, and you should uncheck the "private" setting of your account, but if you still don't see them, it must be a bug. There are many other players who did everything properly, but they don't see friends besides Paprick. Hopefully devs will fix that.

@tarjmov because friendly actions on trees only give 1 wood and on rocks and bushes only 1 shell. They are not supposed to give the full benefit of clearing them.

I have added a lot of you to kong friends but my list in the game has only Paprick. Should I solve a specific quest or be over a specific level to be able to visit friends?
