just again a reminder: make sure your KONG profile is NOT set to private. the ADD feature within the game is NOT adding the people, it just sends an invite to play the game to them. to add someone you have to add them as a FRIEND in kong itself, outside of the game. So feel free to ADD me in kong to play the game together

@Terastas: Is it 5 times? Replenishing 2 energy takes 10 minutes. The clay pit replenishes every 3 minutes. That's a bit more than 3 times in my calculation. Your general advice is still correct, but isn't the calculation off?

When in doubt while visiting another player's island, empty the clay pit. It regenerates five times faster than the energy needed to empty it yourself.

Every now and then, Paprick pops on at login and says he's restored all your plants and animals. Is that a regular weekly occurrence, or is there another trigger?

@archerbob: you don't need watermelon seeds (and they're not particularly good gifts anyway). Instead, try this: after digging some squares to plant stuff in, open the shop (tent icon in the bottom right), click the PLANTS button (looks like a banana), and buy and plant beans (others work too, but beans give good food for their cost, grow in just an hour and last two days before wilting). Then, when you harvest them, go back into the shop, click the SPECIAL button (lightning bolt) and buy a lot of salt, then go into your workshop (hammer and saw button on the main screen), click the food button (the bowl) and you can cook beans on the first page. Save some beans for planting more later, though, to save buying new seeds.

I do appreciate that everything you can craft takes time OR energy, and that you can continue to use the workbench while the timed items are processing. That's a nice touch that a lot of free-to-play developers refuse to consider for the purpose of squeezing the player base for more cash more often.

@CAQ9 you need to add them as a friend on Kongregate itslef, so they show up as in game neighbors the next time you start the game. and make sure your kong profile is NOT private.

For the Halloween Event
1)-at least 3 types of objects in the map cycle between two states, switching to the other once the first is completed, then back to the first when the second is done: "Crazy Bush"/Goblin, "Dark Spirits"/"White Spirits", and "Underground Hole"/"Hot Lava"
2)-Crazy Bush and Dark Spirits block your path, while Goblins and White Spirits do not; make sure you don't block your way (but you can walk through fake lava either way)
3)-Goblins drop Goblin Oil
4)-at least 3 types of toys can drop from objects in this event, as well as other collectibles; bats can drop from the bat game, "Seahorse Spirits" (the completed form of the seahorses) can drop Giraffe Toys when fed, and Toucans drop from...something, I forgot
5)-trying to complete everything is going to take hundreds of energy and a whole lot of resources, including several dozen radishes
6)-once you complete the spooky hatch, make sure it's as empty as you can make it

@archerbob: no, the volcano is NOT the last quest, there is more after that. and you can do stuff after all the quests are done. altogether it is 14 parts to this event that show in your quest book.

Bug: quests which require crafting timed workshop products do not register as being completed should you pick them up on islands besides Atafu (the "big island")

Chopping down the knights is awesome, I got 61 machete so far and have 5 knights to go... I think I'm also getting other items as well that I need for quests on the main farm. @mystramisc does the event conclude when you complete the volcano? Can you continue to do stuff in the haunted house after or does concluding the event close it out?

mystramisc: KeeperBVK asked if Toby was needed for the clay colossus. I have the clay colossus and I have not touched Toby's island yet. I wasn't saying it wasn't needed later just that it wasn't needed for the badge. I do not know how many people will keep playing after they get the Impossible badge.

How do I get more ghost oil (or lava imitation for that matter)? The lava pits aren't filling up unless I feed them oil (or so it seems).

@cresswga you are wrong, you can NOT ignore toby's desert island, you wil need it later to progress through the main quest.
@archerbob such questions are BEST asked in the discrod, either through the on-page bot, or even better directly on the discord. there you can get all the answers as someone like me will be able to answer them right on the spot (yes, i finished the complete Halloween event)

@archerbob, you get the lamps in pavilon I on the holiday island. You need to pay raddish to get them.

Scratch that about the ghost lamps, I get my confusion now as it seems this quest is a bit buggy and doesn't count correctly... so currently of the eight I've obtained the quest has only counted the last two

How do you get enough salt for the Halloween quest? The workshop states you can get salt crystals as a gift from friends, but there is no salt crystal option when I look in Give Gift. I guess I just have to buy them all in the shop

@cresswga Plank pools are 4x4, that makes 16 tiles and give 70 rep, that's 4.375 rep per tile. Wise owls and steering wheels cost less, need only 1 tile and give 10 rep each. And they don't need building, while pool needs 35 energy + 35 planks.
