One thing I don't understand is the villagers are all "I don't trust that cave" and yet they're disappearing into it, despite no indication of a compulsion besides greed. Maybe further journals make it clearer.

Bug report. I'm not sure how specific it is, has only happened to me once.
I put a mithril dagger into the enchant box, and closed hit 'Back' with it still in the equipment slot. It never showed back up into my inventory.
I would rather see another awesome installment of this series than have you grind through pages of code to find this weird little glitch, but I've seen you fix so many things I thought you might appreciate the info.

The girl in the bar will convert some blueberries into the Ultimate HP Potions with 800 HP + 25 HP Regen. A good help in the last floors.

MP Regen & HP Regen + All Gear = Unstoppable. I did that and i almost beat the game on my 2nd run, and I hadn't reached char lv20 yet!

@USERkiller 1234 you can re-enchant stuff.
On a related note, its possible to apply the same enchantment from the same item to a piece of gear twice. You just have to apply the enchantment once alone and then do it again.
